I haven't played ME 1 and I want to know if their is a difference in any realeased games (lines, plots) between ''let
ting the coucil die'' or ''focusing on sovereign'' or is it the same?

Any predictions if a choice between one or the other this decision could have different  impacts in ME3 ?

No difference in ME2, the Council still dies.

I don't believe the difference even made it into the import flags, so it wouldn't carry into ME3.

The only thing that isn't addressed when it comes to the Battle for the Citadel is who becomes the ambassador. If you didn't play ME1 then the Council dies and is replaced with a all-Human Council.

The only decision not really imported when it comes to the main story is who becomes Councilor and the reason for this is because the last possible save you can do is the auto-save the game does right before you face the Saren husk. This is remedied by Miranda asking you who became Councilor, Udina or Anderson. Who you chose at that point will likely be imported into ME3, however I've heard one of the books letting it slip in one of the lines that Anderson quit and Udina replaced him on the Council. If the books are Canon (like I think they are), then the Councilor decision is only to give you the feeling that the Council believes your word carries weight for those ten seconds.

Focusing on Sovereign can add the possibility of creating a new Council with the humans on it. This new Council is never seen in ME 3, but I'm pretty sure it will be the council on the next game, regardless of the original Council having died or not. Probably there are elections on the Citadel too and new councilors will be chosen from time to time.

WRONG!

If the council dies in ME1 and you import your character Human Relations Goes to hell in a handbasket and the turians begin building military to respond to possible human hostilitly likewise so do the humans. However if the Council lives. Everybody wnats to make nicey nice with Humanity but the council still shuns shepard.

In both scenarios Shepard can have spectre-ship re-instated and in both scenarios the council still refuses to help against the reapers. I bring this up not because the story of ME 2 changes but because it could dramatically impact ME 3 if BW so chose it. INfact if that decision didn't affect ME 3 i would be most displeased after how they made it affect politics in ME 2.

Er, the OP asked if there was a difference between "focusing on Sovereign" (neutral option) and "let the Council die." (Renegade option.)  There isn't.   OP didn't ask about the difference between those and "save the Council."
