Indicative of lack of content and depth?
DAII guide 100 pages shorter than DA:O guide.

That's where I was.
DA2 is shorter than DAO. Beyond that, I'm not so certain that strategy guide length is a good barometer of playtime. Even so, 288 pages sounds like a lot of reading.
