408 vs 288.

Indicative of lack of content and depth?

Yes, a guide is the perfect measurement of content and depth.

No. Indicative of less unrelated side-quests that really don't matter for any other reason than to give the lore a bit more context. Now that we know the lore, I'm glad if they'd trash that stuff.

Srsly. Depth and content are not based on quantity, let alone quantity of pages in guides.

I thought it was because they used a smaller font, dropped the Polish version from the back of it, and included a Magnifying Glass to be able to provide the most interactive experience.

My Fable 3 guide is almost 450 pages long. Explain that one.

The CE is 408.

There was no need to contradict.

There's this thing called "bloat" it tends to permeate everything that is associated with the Fable franchise.

Good, it's always a chore reading through it all, anyway I prefer to learn by doing, so I get lost and killed several hundred times 'shrugs'

Fable 3 is even more in depth and long than Dragon Age: Origins. Obviously.

The game is shorter, so it makes sense that the guide will be shorter. That doesn't mean that what there is will lack content and depth.

Mm... no, doesn't make any sense, as the guide itself covers the quests, characters, and various achievements, as do most guides. The only "bloat" in this guide is the extra concept art that I paid for in order to receive the Collector's Edition.

I hope its better than the last guide. There were some really lame errors in it.

Conserving paper, go green!:wizard:

Also, half the stuff in guides are keybindings that you can look at on your own in menus and change to whatever you want.  Or info on classes that you may easily have gleened playing.  Or as some mentioned, nice extras.  Not terribly necessary most of the time. (though the extras are nice)

My index finger is shorter then my middle finger, even though my middle finger comes before my index finger.

Clearly, life has short-changed me.

They both contain lore chapters, the first guide was lore about the entire history of the world, races, and various mythological and religious beliefs of the world.

The lore guide on this one will probably be much more focused and shorter by comparison.

Sorry, I was being factitious, but clearly that backfired on me.

If guide length is indicative of game length (which it isnt)...

If you divide a 50 hour game and divide it by 2, you still have a 25 hour or more game (dur) .....now 288 is not half of 408...so....assuming that game length is parallel to guide length...you should recieve 25-30 hours of game play.....

Now that my brain has committed suicide by me forcing it to write that, I give my actual response in the form of a link.
