I have just re-purchased NWN after having not played it on this PC for about 3 yrs. I received it today and after running the update saw that I had to download a critical update (1.69) which I did - regardless the game won't run - can't understand why if the base original version would run why this would not ?

I have the Original+xp1+xp2 which is the same as "Platinum Edition" minus the extra modules and
I noticed that there are differences in your config compared to mine which I will put in bold...

It looks like you didnt run the Critical Update. If you have it downloaded try running it again.

Thanks. I ran it twice - it shows as v1.69 after completion - however, I didn't run it within the NWN directory but rather from my desktop - would that make a difference ?

OK..I dropped the Critical Update into the NWN folders and ran it again successfully. The game does not work. It gets through the opening movie then crashes.

I would not expect much from any system without a proper video card, meaning from AMD or nVIDIA, and would think than any prior "success" with such horrible hardware was wishful thinking.

Ok the update seems to have worked properly now, but your issue might be the intel graphic drivers
as hinted on this INTEL webpage about your mobile chipset...

Intel Mobile 965 express

That might be your last issue.
