Hardcore Mass Effect fans are actually satisfied for once.

Not really the worst twist, just the least likely.

Shepard finds out how to destroy the Reapers, but he is too late. He decides to record a long message of his adventures throughout the galaxy and he tells how to defeat the Reapers for good. There is a scene that shows the galaxy being purged of all alien races.

Screen fades to black.

The final scene shows an alien and his crew pick up a voice log. Commander Shepard's voice plays. The timestamp puts the game 50,000 years into the future. This new group of heroes hear the final seconds of the log telling where to find the weapon that can destroy the Reapers.

With a triumphant look in his eyes, the alien smiles, and the screen fades to black. Credits roll.

The Normandy is destroyed again, and Shepard is the only survivor. Some time later a group of misterious Reaper's slaves starst to spread destruction all along the galaxy, and we find out that they're the ME2's squad transformerd in techno-organic abominations. In the final battle we are forced to fight the ME2's LI and him/her and Shepard kills each other.

Then I'll take a plane for Canada and start to hunt the BW's writers and collecting their skulls like I'm the guddamn Predator.

My LI is from ME1, but you may count on my help

Shep being a robot of some kind.
Shep sacrificing his life to save the galaxy.
Shep having to choose between saving the earth or his LI.
SHep
finding some sort of magical item that lets him defeat the reapers in
one shot. (ie a virus, some sort of prothean tech, etc)

I actually see all of these as a real possibility for ME3.
Especially if having a bunch of cybernetic implants counts as being part robot.

Sadly I have to agree. Overlord already point the fact that there's not much remained of the Shepard's original body under his/her skin. The ultimate sacrifice scenario was already presented in other BW games. Baldur's Gate II and KotOR shows how BW likes to torture our LIs. And some kind of MacGuffin to kill the reapers will be almost unavoidable. The hope is that at least the LIs and the Ultimate Sacrifice scenarios the final result will be choose by us and not forced to be in only one way.

You die at the beginning and are brought back to life. This is never mentioned again.

You are forced to leave everyone you've trusted and fought with to work for a terrorist organization. When you object, you are told "they're busy" and you never question it again.

Every major choice you made in the previous game is either reduced to an email or made completely irrelevant.

Oh wait......

The Reapers aren't defeated in battle. They are so impressed by Shepard's ability to unite the entire galaxy against them that they leave willingly. Their parting statement is something moving and affirming about the power of cooperation and how they only killed the previous civilisations because they were one dominant species enforcing their rule on others.

Cue orchestral music.

Make that Reaper oil.  And Shep becomes obsessed with hunting a particular, all-white Reaper....

The reapers are simply not understanded correctly, they are just lonely creatures that are looking for friends.

Hell of a way of showing affection :)

They're just socially maladjusted.  All that genocidal slaughter?  Acting out.

There are no reapers.

Saren was just messing with Shepard and really disliked the council.

The Collectors are a bunch of axe crazy things.

ME3 teaser is Shepards own conspiracy movie.

Shepard will after that be sent to spectre rehabilitation.

It is discovered that Chuck Norris is actually the leader of the Reapers, and out of sheer intimidation the entire galaxy commits suicide.

Cycle of extinction continues.
