But, seriously, I would be annoyed if it has an ending like the movie Repomen. That was some BULL****!

BioWare will do that, in fact at the end of the game to destroy the reaper you have three choice. Sacrificing yourself (paragon), let your LI do it and she dies (neutral), or everybody dies including your LI but you are still alive (renegade).

No. Because, even though most people choose to ignore this fact, it is possible to play through both ME1 and 2 without a LI. So no, this will not happen.

The Virmire survior (Which ever one died) punches a hole in reality from the after life and it releases every one Shepard ever killed back to the ranks of the living,



If that was the plot twist at the end of the game I'd turn off my Xbox and demand my money back from the lead writer of Mass Effect personaly. (I kid but that would suck.)

The reason they showed nothing between SR2 explosion and Shepard reawakening on the Cerberus station was that ME3 happened and it was all his dream as it ends he reawakens on the Cerberus base of ME2 with Miranda yelling at him to wake up.



Any dream sequence really would all suck it means 3 is either a yet to happen event or it never did.



Or it could be it was the plants ending where pollen on some foreign world causes shep to hallucinated ME 1 –3.



It was a simulation like VR except more animus style like Assassins Creed where you are either Shep or a descendant of Shep reliving what your ancestor did.



Sheps retelling the story to either an enemy, children, or the like making a wtf ending sense the player was shep the whole game.



Harbinger is telling said story but as the defeat of the humans during the war.

THE GERMS! Yeah no germs or bacteria killed off the Reapers in a freak accident type of way.



It was all a simulation in any way!



Sheps really a cylon oh I mean reaper that was just programmed with false memories.



Any proven loyal crewmen like Joker, Chakwas, Tali, Garrus are all cylons oh wait I mean reapers.



It was Shepard but he went back in time in some machine to affect the world and make it so the outcome came out how he desired it to be weather that be reapers won or reapers lost.



Anybody including TIM went back in time to effect and steer galactic history as they desired.

Shep finds out that the only possible way to stop the reapers is by going back in time and find the one single button that could exterminate the whole reaper armada.

That most of the SR2 crew tuns out to be sleeping reaper agents

Before Shepard defeats the Reapers they explain the real reason for their reoccuring extinction agenda against organic life. The Reapers creators used up all of the resources of the solar system they originated from and when the Reapers became self aware they realized that all organic life would eventually end up exhuasting the galaxy's ability to support life, so they made it their mission to exterminate all organic civililzations once they reached a point where they could deplete the galaxy's resources. And....since Shepard is about to destroy the only power that can prevent this from happening all life is eventually doomed.
