I've been trying to find it, but it was after every comment he made in this thread - will post here if I can

EDIT: http://social.biowar...ex/5923826&lf=8
DOUBLE EDIT: I thought the Black Emporium thing was tied to the Fadeshear sword and the Lion of Orlais shield...

Exactly. Still want to see what Yousuf says, he has until end of tomorrow. Then it might be time to PM chris. Or start a thread titled "Dear Chris Priestly/ Sales Team..."

I don't think theres much Chris can do for us at this point other than maybe provide us with a contact email address for someone in the European/UK branch of EA. Has anyone tried contacting EA directly yet?

I have just sent a length email to EA explaining the situation. Should hear back from them in the next day or two, they're normally very good with responding, and with responding with HUMANS, and not automated bots.

No, it looks like it is just those of us in the UK who are getting boned... :pinched:

Oh, you mean like when Origins came out and we got the pathetic excuse for a collector's edition? Yep. That sounds about right (had to order my copy from Poland).

Good luck with that, I did the same with Origins regarding the CE, don't get your hopes up.

Yeah I got an email back from "David" saying "We cannot make any changes to the game, add new features, or correct any issues involving the actual game." Evidently completely misunderstanding what had tried to explain. Am continuing to attempt to resolve the situation.

Basically I have asked EA to ensure a sales team contacts all the distributers and makes sure they fully understand the product they are meant to be shipping and that there should be these two promo items with it.

If that fails I will cut and copy the whole thing to CP and ask the Bioware Sales team to do so. It REALLY shouldn't be this difficult. To get someone to go to AmazonUK, GameUK etc etc and say "btw guys you should also be giving these codes out in emails". Failing that I'll try calling Amazon myself and see if i can get anywhere with that.

If none of that works, its really quite unforgivable that pretty much everyone with the power to solve the problem would be sitting back on their haunches doing nothing.

I for one think it's good that retailers get confused by all these different pre-order bonus items. Maybe some day the video game producers will realize that this has gone too far. I'm keeping my amazon.co.uk pre-order. In any case I've pre-ordered the signature edition and it would be stupid to cancel that.

This Posted Image, I still have a small amount of hope that it will get sorted out but not much! But then again with SE I still get black imporium and Sebastian so I can live with out a sword and shield

Not exactly on topic but I thought it's something that my interest a few people. It might have been posted ... I don't know. Amazon.co.uk is not offering the pre order items for Premium Edition of The Witcher 2 even though it is listed as precipitating in the offer. Source : http://tw2.thewitche...p?topic=31476.0

You got to be kidding me. -.-

*goes to cancel PE of the Witcher 2 pre-order*

I have little hope that amazon will fix it, if it wasn't for my SE order I would cancel immediatly.

I would cancel my SE if I could get it elsewhere without paying much higher price but I would continue shopping with them because they never let me down apart from SE. I don't think that it affects the Collectors Edition pre order item... I hope.

Wonder if the next batch of e-mails to be sent out by Amazon.uk re TW2 will be along the lines of 'We haven't been advised of this promotion by the publishers/manufacturers' Posted Image

Though if Game are also saying they haven't been told about these incentives for DA2, maybe it's the same for those other retailers, like thehut, who're saying they're not part of this promotion?

I really hope someone sorts this out soon.

It's beyond disappointing that the loyalty we have shown to Bioware by preordering the Signature Edition has backfired on us. I really hope this gets resolved.

Looks like UK are getting shafted on this one for sure.  Here's the response I received from GAME.CO.UK.

'Hi [ ],

Thank you for your email.I can confirm that unfortunately the codes only come with the Standard edition of this game.

I apologise for any inconvenience.

Regards,Danielle S

The Team at GAME'

I have responded to this and asked 'Why????' with link to Bioware's intention.  If I hear back I'll post it.

Yeah because that's outright incorrect, no question of miscommunication. She is just downright wrong.

Dear Universe, given that I was unable to see into the future and anticipate who would have all the pre-order bonuses, how do I travel back in time to pre-order my SE copy of DA2 from the correct store? Oh wait, I can't. *Shoots self in head*.

*Lol* Seriously, if I was a hardcore DA fan, I'd be fuming - fortunately I'm not, phew... After ME3, I'll probably make sure I don't get too interesting in games, because I probably will get pissed off.

Whose fault is all of this anyway?

Personally, I'd say BioWare's, for the following reasons:

- They stated the pre-order bonuses were included in the Signature Edition
- Then then stated they were included with all pre-orders no matter what retailer you purchased from.

If it wasn't going to be included in the box, they should not have said it was included with the Signature Edition.
And if it wasn't going to be available with all pre-orders... then they shouldn't have said that either.

At the end of the day what they said simply was not true.
They can blame it on the retailers all they like - but that's just a cheap excuse.

If BioWare want to blame the retailers, then how do they explain the fact that some retailers were not even aware of the promotion in the first place? Who's fault is that? Again, BioWare's.

And here I was thinking this was sorted when someone posted a message from Chris saying Game should be giving out the codes to Sig Edition pre-orders. I guess I was wrong. I swear these kinds of incentives always have something go wrong somewhere, it's kinda rediculous.

You really wouldn't think it would be that hard for whoever is in charge of these offers at EA Bioware's end to throw a message to the UK retailers saying that the offer should be extended to the Signature edition also, if there is some issue with that then we should be told that they messed up so we can forget about the items as annoying as that may be.

For all we know the next thing we'll hear is other UK retailers 'not offering' the promo.

I wouldn't be in the slightest bit surprised. It would be alot easier to take if there was some kind of dialogue or indication that someone at Bioware/EA is trying to do something or atleast gives a crap.

Oh wow. I completely forgot about those statements from Bioware. And here I was blaiming everything on Amazon. :pinched:
At least we get the Black Emporium - the Mirror and the mabari summon are the two bonuses I am really excited about.

If this happens from the 1st of March contact the Advertising Standards Authority in the UK who can force them to remove these things if they are misleading. They police television and radio at the moment and can ban adverts, but will be doing website advertising from the above date.

It's not Biowares fault or issue...it's EA's...

And seriously people, after the debacle over Bioware's recent games, are you really actually that surprised?

Bioware is just the developer, EA tells companies what offers they are getting, how, when and why. Thats one of the reasons the Dev's tell us so little now, because invariably EA turn around and do something totally different, making Bioware look like idiots.

I've been in contact with EA. So far the first reply completely misunderstood what I was asking them to do (basically the second part of Apollo's response, to get EA to re-advertise/tell the retailers what they should be giving out with the game) and the second response said nothing more than "im going to have to get in touch with my seniors." still waiting back on a third.
