Not only that, Amazon(.co.uk) does not have good reputation on having up-to-date information.

ffs people, Amazon do not deal with the DLC partly because the serial code is pre-packaged with the game! (disc) Therefore they are not the people who you should be trusting on the matter.

For DLC codes - yes, they will be in the box... but Pre-Order DLC codes will not be. Otherwise you would be able find at least one copy of the game with pre-order DLCs which could be bought when the game's already released. It doesn't make sense.
The following items are PRE-order DLCs and they will not be included in the box. The codes to download these items will be printed on the seperate leaflets or they will be e-mailed to the customer.
Pre-order before March 8, 2011 and you will receive:
- The Lion of Orlais Sheild (info)
- The Fadeshear Sword
Original purchasers of Dragon Age 2 will receive:
- A fighting Mabari War Hound
- The Mirror of Transformation (info)
- Access to exclusive Magic and Crafting Stores

It's related to the pre-order bonuses (Fadeshear Sword and Lion of Orlais Sheild).hhh89 wrote...
I have a question. Is the problem with Amazon for the SE of the game or with the other content related with the preorder? Because I'm sure that I've got the SE from my Gamestop retailer in Italy, but if the problem is with the other bonus I maybe have to call them.

So.... does this mean I ordered it wrong? I ordered mine from gamestop and just went through the regular procedure to order and figured if I just ordered before january 11 I would get the signature addition. Did I need to do something extra?

The SE is safe. The problem is with the Fadeshear Sword and Lion of Orlais shiedl, I suppose.
By the way, is Gamestop American, yes?

Maybe the EU team just forgot to advertise the bonuses to retailers in Europe before going on their press tour.hhh89 wrote...
Thank you. I'm worried. I talked with the Gamestop guy and he said he didn't know nothing about this bonuses. And in the Italian Gamestop site there isn't any info about the FS and the LOS, while there is in the Gamestop.com site.
As far as I am aware, the only retailer in the UK that even mentions them on their website is game.co.uk... and even then it's only for the Xbox 360/PS3 versions, for some reason not PC.

Oh come on, read the thread before posting. I outlined the issue on the previous page. Thankfully AuriDUL knows what he's talking about.

I think perhaps they and you have confused each other.
There is a marked difference between Day One DLC and Promotional DLC. Day One DLC is DLC you are given on release with the game and is usually restricted to specific versions of the game ie a Collectors Edition of the game.
Promotional DLC is usually DLC that is given when you purchase/pre-order a game from a specific retailer as a bonus for buying from that retailer; say if you buy a version from Steam or from Game.co.uk.
When you messaged Amazon.co.uk I would be willing to bet that they thought/assumed that you were inquiring about additional Promotional DLC that they were getting and not Day One DLC that will most likely be included in the box.
As Bioware dont seem to be having Retailer Specific Promotional DLC this time around but did with DAO - this is likely what is causing the confusion.
I do not know for sure that this is the case but I have a strong feeling it is.
Plus retailers are bloody idiots who dont have a bloody clue about the games they are supposed to sell; I kept trying to preorder DA2:SE and kept getting blank looks and "what? dont know what you are talking about" at me every time I tried at my local game stores.
Id get:
"What is the Signature Edition?"
"We arent going to be stocking the Signature Edition"
"We dont have a code to let you pre order the Signature Edition, cant you order it in January?"
"You emailed head office? Well I dont know what they are talking about, we arent getting it in."
This is in spite of BIoware, EA, and their own Head Offices/Websites responding to tell me that they WERE getting the SE, and were participating in the promotional upgrade of the Standard Edition to Signature Edition.
Eventually I gave up and ordered it online from the Gamestation website (the company who's store I was trying to preorder in).
So I wouldnt worry about it. They probably havent just paid proper attention to whats going on with Dragon Age 2.

I think everyone that pre-ordered will be extremely disapointed if it doesn't end up being offered at the retailer they pre-ordered from.immortal_scream wrote...
I have it pre-ordered with amazon.co.uk since 2nd november, will be extremely disappointed in bioware if dlc's wont be included...
