I received my copy of the SE from Amazon UK and can confirm that it does not include the sword and shield.

The promo content available is as follows: Blood Dragon Armour, Far Cliff of Kirkwall, Of Things Not Lost, Boots of the Frozen Wastes, Lothering's Lament, Hayder's Razor and Ser Isaac's Armour.

The Amazon UK Signature Edition additonally does not include The Black Emporium or The Exiled Prince DLCs which must be bought separately.

Are you saying your Signature Edition didn't include any extra content whatsoever? The promotional content you listed do not come with any edition of the game. Did you receive an online pass code, and if so, did you redeem it?

Yes, on both counts.  Either EA aren't honouring their pre-sale offers or the code redemption system is screwed up, but neither is really acceptable.

Bought the Signature Edition (360 version) from amazon.co.uk and both items unlocked for me.

My Black Emporium or The Exiled Prince DLC codes also worked fine.

There are separate codes for those DLCs?  Perhaps that's why I can't access them, though I'm still unclear as to why they weren't included in the Signature Edition.

There should be a code for your online pass (this includes the Black Emporium content) and a code for 'The Exiled Prince'. These two codes are on the same leaflet on separate sides. I redeemed these through the Xbox marketplace, but I don't know about other systems.

There should also be another leaflet with the Signature Edition code. This is redeemed here.

Hope you find a solution :)

There's nothing on the other side, just an ad for Mass Effect. The leaflet does state that the code unlocks The Exiled Prince, but it doesn't, it just grants access to a few in-game items; it also makes no mention of The Black Emporium.

It's possible that they've issued an incorrect code, I suppose, though it's rather frustrating if that's the case.

That does sound quite maddening. Have you contacted anyone about getting it sorted? By right you should have the Black Emporium and Exiled Prince no matter where you purchased from.

Yeah, I raised a support incident a few hours ago but have received no response.

I'd be phoning customer support and making demands and the occassional incomprehensible noise to keep them on their toes. If my SE works as intended then I'll have a spare sword and sheild code, you can have it if you don't get it sorted.

Yeah, that doesn't sound right. I really hope they sort this out for you. Good luck!

My friend just redeemed his SE online pass from Amazon.co.uk, and it explicitly unlocked the following four packs: Black Emporium, Signature Edition items, Soundtrack, The Exiled Prince. Checking user entitlements also revealed the Fadeshear and Lion of Orlais.

Note that this is the PC version. Inside the box was the game manual, a leaflet advertising Bulletstorm and Dead Space 2, and another leaflet advertising ME3 with the online pass for DA2 on the other side. It was just the one code that unlocked everything.

Still no response, even though I've sent them a reminder. It's a bit off that my options seem to be either to download a cracked copy simply to get what I paid for or to go without. Feeling pretty peeved about it and it's really rather spoiled what was my most anticipated release of the year.

I think many people have reported success by talking to EA support through live chat; as far as I'm aware they were given their missing codes, and some have even reported having support go above and beyond their expectations in resolving the problem.

I'm not really good with instant messenger type things, although I guess I may have to try if I continue to get no response to the support ticket. I'm probably sounding a bit churlish thanks to being in a mood, but thanks for the suggestion, and to everyone who's offered supportive comments. :)

I finally took you up on your suggestion to use Live Chat in spite of my natural aversion to anything that involves real-time thinking; wish I'd done it hours ago since a fifteen-minute wait and then another 10 to activate the missing content are all it took to get it sorted out. Still no idea what the problem was since the code was successfully registered, but at least it's fixed now.

I ordered from Amazon.co.uk and I have got the bonus pre-order DLC.

This is my first time posting on this forum, but I saw that others were confused (rightly so, it is confusing) so I thought I would post my experience in the hope that it helps others.

I received the XBox 360 Signature Edition from Amazon.co.uk today (a day late even though I have Prime). I expected not to receive the Fadeshear or Lion of Orlais codes as I had heard of the issues. Sure enough they were not includedand I've received no email from Amazon. Inside the sealed case were the XBox 360 codes for the Black Emporium and Exiled Prince DLC and an EA code for the Signature Edition bonus content (in addition to the Exiled Prince) that had to be redeemed on the Bioware site.

I installed and loaded the game, signed into the EA servers, and went straight to the DLC menu and downloaded Black Emporium and Exiled Prince using the codes. I then went onto the Bioware site to redeem the Signature Edition content, but accidentally went to the list of my game promotions by mistake. It was then I noticed that both the Fadeshear and Lion of Orlais were added to my list of promotions. They weren't there two days ago. Confused, I went to the Extras menu in the game and looked at unlockables and sure enough there they were. This was before I had unlocked the Signature Edition DLC.

So without typing in any codes, I seem to have both bits of bonus content. I can only assume that due to the debacle, Bioware have released the DLC to anyone who downloads the Exiled Prince. I haven't played enough of the game to actually see them in game, but according to the extras menu and the Bioware site, they are unlocked.

Hope this helps.

If that is true across all platforms SE copies, then Bioware just undid some of the PR damage they took recently, at least in my eyes. Good on them.

Either way Bioware gets the brownie points on this an Amazon has to suck it up and learn to communicate and promote better

Seems some people are feeling a lot more charitable towards Bioware than I am at the moment. The support guy was helpful but I'm not grateful for them causing so much aggravation in the first place: it should've never happened. It'll take a lot more than unlocking the DLC (if indeed that's what they've done) to make me view them favourably, but I won't hold my breath.

I actually cancelled my pre-order over this whole farce. The only reason I have DA2 now is a friend gave me their unopened copy after reading the reviews.
Neither Bioware nor Amazon UK are blameless in this matter. Amazon have definitely lost my gaming business but Bioware need to learn an important lesson from this and make the next pre-order \\ Collector's Edition \\ Signature Edition simpler and more clearly advertised.

Tangential to the main point, but speaking of dlc can anyone tell me where I'll find the Soundtrack I've unlocked? I can't seem to locate it.

They didn't learn from the chaos surrounding DA:O's DLCs nor with the Cerberus Network for ME2; even though it seems to be a fair bit worse this time around, I'd be surprised if future releases fared any better.  If anything, it's a downward trend.

Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised, and I'd like nothing more than to be proven wrong.  But I'm pessimistic.

Go HERE and click the 'more info' tag by the soundtrack and a pop up will appear with a download option.

No mention of any soundtrack there, at least for me.  Wonder how much other stuff I'm still missing?  I have to say I'm... actually, I'm speechless.
