Damn ... first time Amazon let me down. We still get all the SE bonus items and the Black Emporium yes?

That shouldn't be a problem, because the SE is produced in limited numbers and the Black Emporium will be included in all copies. It's just impossible to track preorders that concern the regular edition - this will have to be done by the retailer.

Yes. It is the Fadeshear and Lion of Orlais items that are not included.

Any reason why they don't include those items?

Edit: I'm sure they have a reason so please don't respond with 'yes', I want to know what the reason is.

Thanks for clarifying everything for us! :) I hope in future Amazon will do a better job ... if not then they lose one more customer :D

Is there no way we can work around this? Its somewhat sh*tty that we are paying the same amount as everyone else yet getting less for our money simply because of our choice of retailer, a choice we had to make without any prior warning that this kind of thing would happen. Infact we were left no option to wait and see how it pans out if we wanted the SE we were forced to choose a retailer and hope for the best. I'm not blaming Bioware or anyone but surely you can see why this would be annoying.

Is it really too much to ask of those idiots at Amazon to actually give us what we've paid for?

At the same time, is it too much to ask for Bioware to just include items made before release in the damn game, instead of making us jump through hoops to get 20 different pre-release items.

Perhaps, but that's not really the point here.

The thing is that we paid for the SE (or the regular edition) with the assumption that we will get those two items as a pre-order bonus. And Amazon is just not doing what they should be doing, that is giving us the items.

Sure, in the end you could blame bioware for creating pre-order bonusses, but at this point Amazon is wrong, since all the other retailers (afaik) are delivering the items.

@tamahome, the DLC (exiled prince) will probably be in the box (like Shale with Origins) and everyone gets the Emporium stuff.

We have no idea why Amazon isn't participating in the pre-order bonus, but managing DLC is usually the publisher/developer's job. If EA advertised the items as included with all purchases, then it's their responsibility for providing the DLC codes and making sure retailers know what's going on.

Just started a thread at amazon.co.uk.

They also tried ripping customers off with the SE at first, but the community made them reconsider their pricing. Maybe a warning that the items won't be included will change their minds again.

Well, I'm glad I brought this up to begin with if only to expose Amazon.co.uk!!

I'm hoping Bioware make the two items activation-less, as with some of the DA:O pre-order bonuses. That way, we can just go to Dragon Age wiki and download them at a later date.

Not happy :(

Seems a very unamazonish thing to do.

I guess the only thing to do is to get as many people as possible to complain to Amazon.

If Bioware speaks to Amazon too, expressing the community's displeasure then maybe they will change their minds.

Wow, it's time's like this that I'm glad I don't choose Amazon. I was originally going to pre-order with them till I realized that they were ripping people off and Play.com was selling the game for the right price.

My heart goes out to you guys, the Amazon folks are pretty reasonable, I'm sure they'll reconsider.

Hmm, maybe we could start a petition? But where would be the most noticeable place (for Amazon that is) to do so?

Also, where is the best place to complain to amazon.co.uk? Maybe they'd listen if we all did it at once?

prototype00

Hmm, how about this, when we've written a letter to Amazon.co.uk expressing our displeasure at this situation, we can write to this thread. So both Bioware and Amazon.co.uk can have a rough tally of less-than-happy customers?

And there are men who embrace destiny and do not show their fear.

Thats a decent rallying cry, I think. Post it in a message if you've sent them a complaint.

Post at all of the version pages (PS3, PC, X360) and express your discontent. I think if there are many posts like these, it may help. Writing to Amazon directly should also be a good option.

They did a very similar thing with Assassins Creed Brotherhood pre order. The Helmschmied Drachen Armor was supposed to be included as a pre order item for every Amazon division yet in the end Amazon.co.uk said they won't be giving this item in their copies.

I believe it's only Amazon UK that is doing this, so yes, you should be fine.

I believe the issue is that many of these people have pre-ordered the signature edition which they can no longer get from anywhere else.

It would be a nice move of Bioware to offer an option to hand out these items to guys who can prove they pre-ordered at amazon.co.uk (and received their copy). An e-mail address to forward your delivery confirmations to alongside your gamertag / Bioware account information, or something like that.

Wait so I ordered the SE way back now from amazon UK, does this mean I wont be getting these two items? Even after it's been categorically stated on here people ordering the Signature Edition would receive them.

If I'm now not getting these items then that's a cancellation from me, I don't even really care that much about the items, it's the principle of the whole thing.

If you preordered the SE you'll get the bonuc character, the soundtrack and four weapons. The fadeshear sword and the lion of orlais are promotional items. they aren't part of the SE. This items you'll not get.

edit: it depends from the retailer, It isn't EA or Bioware fault, Amazon didn't want to join the promotion

Shame they failed to mention that really then aint it.

The Lion of Orlais shield and the Fadeshear sword will be oonly available to players who pre-order Dragon Age II before launch. They are included in the Signature Edition.
