Disappointed in Amazon but it's only 2 items ... I can live with that.

Please everybody who ordered the SIG edition from UK post and lets try and get Amazon's attention.

This is disgusting.
I sincerely hope Master Priestly and his team can offer the bonus DLC in Amazon UK's stead, I see no logical reason why they cannot. Although I dislike setting the responsibility on Chris and co's shoulders. This is Amazon UK's sin, and they need to rectify it.
I sent them a stongly-worded e-mail (to their customer service team) instead of posting on the thread at amazon.co.uk as I don't think anyone will read it there, I suggest you do the same. I am certainly not going to pre-order other games from them in the future.
Edit: It's not about the two promotional items, it's about not getting what I paid for without any warning on their part .(I have to learn about it through Mr.Priestly half a month after the SE pre-orders have stopped)

I am also a little peeved that the GameStop preorder bonus is a Xbox exclusive, which is annoying. A deal breaker no.. but really really annoying.
What Gamestop pre-order bonus are you talking about? Gamestop only has the Fadeshear and Lion of Orlais shield like almost every other retailer? You get those if you pre-order any version of Dragon Age 2, so what are you talking about?

While I am not particularly sad about these two items, it really is sad that amazon.co.uk would be the only one not willing to participate with the pre-order bonus items.
If anyone manages to get some sort of explanation out of their customer support, I would appreciate if it would be put in this thread.

I preordered from Amazon.co.uk as well. I'm kinda confused as to why these items wouldn't just be part of all copies of the Signature Edition. I mean, ultimately, I'd rather get a bonus character free than a couple of items any day. But the items would still be nice.

Message here then! Please try and attract as many people to this and see if we can get there attention.
Just posted on the Amazon forum...
wrt BioWare offering this pre-order stuff themselves, wouldn't they be able to tell by the CD key registered which authorised DA2 copies are SE, hence if its SE it MUST be a pre-order, hence qualifying for the pre-order promo? It would be nice if they were offered to us by Amazon or BioWare, but at the end of the day, Its better to have paid £5 less than to have paid the extra, I mean are the sword and shield really worth £2.50 each?

Done! Will email as well. (Sent an email back when they were trying to sell the SE for an increased price as well, and they eventually got on track with that, so here's hoping.)pumpkinman13 wrote...

ugh, could you please stop it? We are talking about the bonus-items. You didn't pay for bonus-items. You receive them as a ..well, bonus. I also complained to amazon.co.uk about their decision not to include those items, but please don't tell them that you want what you paid for. You haven't paid for anything yet, you pre-ordered the normal game, and because they participate in the SE, you might have been upgraded to it. You didn't pay for it or anything else.

"Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk.
I do understand that you are expecting to receive the Bonus items with this product "Dragon Age 2 - Signature Edition (PC DVD)".
On checking our website, I can see that currently there is no information about the bonus item for this product.
For details on all our current Pre-Order Promotions, you can find the information at the following URL:

If you have seen a Pre-Order Promotion on a Video Game product sold on another website, but do not see the same offer listed on Amazon.co.uk, it means that the Promotion is not available on Amazon.co.uk.
Customer feedback like yours helps us continue to improve the selection and service we provide, and we appreciate the time you took to contact us.
Thank you for your interest in Amazon.co.uk."
Yeah... talk about missing the point.

I think you are wrong, respectfully. if you paid before jan 11 you paid for an SE edition not a standard.

well, discussing that would be splitting hairs. my point is, that you have no right to any of it. At this moment, you haven't paid. So if amazon would cancel that pre-order (which they could), we could complain all we want, it wouldn't change anything (legally that is).
If we want amazon to give us those bonus items, we shouldn't go to them and demand what is rightfully ours. We want them to reward us for pre-ordering the game. And we should make that clear in our complaints.

someone messed up at amazon.uk. Company probably forgot to put in pre orders by january 11 seeing that the game doesnt come out till march 8. its what you call greed. Why not make some money now and worry about ordering the product for customers till a little bit later. Kinda like a interest free loan so to speak. Scandalous. You all should ask for a full refund and buy the product else where seeing as you wont get the SE edition.
If you preordered the game before Jan 11th you'll get the SE from Amazon.co.uk. You won't get the other two bonuses, which are not part of the bonuses of the SE. The SE' bonuses are: Sebastian DLC, downloadable soundtrack, Might of the sten, apoustate's courage, adder of antiva e seeker's bulwark (plus a ring maybe). The Fadeshera and the Lion are promotional bonuses that come with a preorder from the retailers who joined this promotion, and are obviously included in the SE if you preordered this. Since Amazon didn't join the promotion, thet don't come with the SE (althoug Bioware could put this bonuses in the SE box to avoid the lack of promotion of Amazon.co.uk)

It stings especially since the other amazons seem to all have those pre-order bonusses.
Anyway, complaint mail is on its way (in a polite sensible way).
