Well of course he's going to say it's good. You think he's going to tell players his own games suck?
Say it did. If his feeling was that the game was setting itself up for absolute failure, we might have had a more mixed review from him saying that clearly some areas still needed work, which *hopefully* wouldn't affect the March 8th ship date.
I guess it comes down to levels of cynicism.
If you don't believe Ray Muzyka would have the balls to tell his team that the game is terrible and needs fixing up before release, then you might as well ignore anything he says - particularly if you feel he has past form on talking from his posterior.
Alternatively, if you believe that if it was that bad he would be willing to step in and delay the launch if necessary to fix it up, then a glowing series of comments from him suggests that there'll be a lot of happy people on March 8th.

What sane man would play a game on a 360 when he has the option of playing it on PC or PS3? And I bet he has a damn good PC at least!
Lol I kid! I miss my 360

Of course, the cost of losing would probably mean mortgaging the souls of yourself and your entire family for fifteen generations...but hey, gambling's no fun without a bit of risk, right?

Putting aside all theories of marketing hype or whatever, if Ray's finished DA2 from start to finish, that means the game is ready to go and is in QA now. That means we have at least a month of QA before release.Siansonea II wrote...
You mean Ray "Shepard-is-predefined-character-when-it's-convenient" Muzyka liked his company's game? Shocked I am.
I bet he has a Marketing background. Was that too harsh?
If by marketing you mean medicine, yes, that's his background. Remember, we are talking about a company called Bioware. Though how they ended up making games is beyond me.
As far as I know, Yip, Zescuk and Myzaka invented some sort of computer-program to aid doctors in trauma-centers and ER-rooms to quickly detect something. (I have forgotten what the program actually does in detail). Then, they made a company called Bio-Ware e.g. bio for biological, maybe? ans Ware, because they wanted to sell their product.
In an interview from 2008 or 2009, the biodocs described how they got into the business. (I think that it was during one of the big fair for computer games?]. They showed a game called Battleground Infinity to publishers. And the ones from Black isle/Interplay (basically what is now the leaders of Obsidian Entertainment] saw something in it, convinced the biodocs to make an rpg, and a little game called Baldur's Gate(1) was born. And the face of rpg gaming hasn't been the same since 1998, at least. [Before that, however, Bioware made sci-fi game called shattered steel....]
To stay on topic:
Awesome it is, I find that Ray and Greg still play the games that their company makes. And yes, I do believe that if they're not satisfied with something (in the games), the team(s) will certainly know about it. And the leads certainly then pay attention....Or maybe this is just me guessing
To make a comparision, I didn't believe Ray when he talked about how he just spent 120+ hours playing Dragon Age: Origins, and how great it was. And boy, was I proved wrong when I myself played DA: Origins. I'm hoping that for DA2, it will be the same

Who's Ray Muzyka?
The man who's word I will never again trust because he said that Shepard was a pre-defined character in response to the "why no m/m s/s in Mass Effect?" question as the reason for it.

Unless you know him personally, then you don't trust the guy. You most likely trust the "idea" of BioWare as a whole. Let's not get overdramatic here.

Okay you didnt actually read what I said properly lol.
I said I dont trust his word aka what he says anymore. I said nothing about him as a person or his company. Or his division of EA.

Going further, you're simplifying a much more complex issue. Making Shepard straight may indeed have been as simple as them saying at the first design meeting "he's not gay". Or it could have been an issue where, just like with Dragon Age, making a strictly homosexual love interest would chug on valuable resources.

Its not an issue I am going to get into you at all if you cant even get your head round the concept that I dont trust what the man SAYS. Like at all.
This is because he has made statements in the past (like those about Shepard and ME) that were blatantly and patently untrue; and that isnt considering that the fact that OF COURSE the guy is going to talk up and "love" his own companies games - they need to sell units and their CEO turning around and saying something like "yeh the games okay I suppose. not my type of thing." would totally not help.
So you can not actually trust what he says because its usually market-speak; probably written for him by idiots who actually have no idea about the games they r talking about.
