I actually fell aspleep during the circle fade section.. twice in separate pkaythroughs
Does anyone have good/bad memories of the Fade sections in DAO and awakeking and are you looking forward to or dreading a trip back there in DA2 if it's announced as a location?

If it resembles the fade as we see and play it in Awakening then I do want to go to the fade again... if it's like the fade in Origins then please no.
I Agree 100%

Huh. I liked the Circle Tower fade sequence a lot from a roleplaying perspective. It was a chance for the PC to come unto his/her own, fighting and surviving without the rest of the party. Sure, playing it for the tenth time got a little boring, but then so did everything else. The Awakening fade sequence was less interesting, mostly because there was absolutely zero challenge there, but then again, that can be said about the whole expansion.
It was fun the first time through, it's essentially just a bunch of fetch quests if you want the stat boosts though.

I agree with this.
The drab, blurry color of the DAO Fade made it feel like everything was exactly the same, which added to the already tedious nature of the quest.
It is probably the hardest part of DAO for me to replay. Rivaled only by the first parts of the Deep Roads.

The strange thing is, the Origins Fade part was somewhat interesting - the first time. After that it became very annoying. Compared to the Fade, the Deep Roads are just an overly long dungeon crawl, I can live with that.

Every time I start a new game up I think about how I have to eventually go to the fade and dread it.

In awakening I don't think the actual level design was anything special but the story f the baroness was pretty cool and integrating it with the real world was a nice touch.
