1. I dont expect them to have won, or even to be on the offensive at this point. But they act like they already won and dont even bother to check first. Defensive and struggling and with military propaganda would have been awsome.
2. Quarians are not allowed to have an embasy. That is racist. Those who have made the mistakes of the Geth are long dead, but they hold a grudge against the current Quarians because they are quarians.
3. But they have no voting power, no way to fight a dicision, no other courses of political moves. The council decides everything, they just get to make requests of the council.
4. 2500 years and they barely got anything done. humans come on the scene and threaten them in not even a century of time.
6. I think the writers just dont remember what they are doing. How did a human colony appear on a perfect world in the Citadel cluster itself...
7. medigel is technically illegal. Genetic augmentation of soldiers are so limited, much better effects are not allowed. ai are hostile because organics are hostile to them first. geth were all nice and friendly till quarians decided to kill them all. and the ai on the citadel was hostile because organics made ai illegal. it wanted to leave because organics would kill it. it knew that it would never be allowed to survive if found out.
8. The citadel fleet was unable to defend against a geth fleet it knew was coming. Saren closing the citadel and Sovergein hiding the entire battle does not change this fact that they could not defend.
1. Again, they pushed the Geth oiut of Citadel space. It was more along the lines of a Gweth insurgency and one large strike then an actual war.
2.No, its really not. You have to understand that the Quarians created a synthetic race, and set it loose on the galaxy. The issue violates Citadel law rather egregiously, so you have to understand thats not something easily forgiven.
3. The Council doesn't decide everything. Again the Council is oversight, and is far from all powerful; its still beholden to the Council governments and the other members. If they abused there power, others races would have little reason to stay.
4. If you mean they've united a significant portion of the galaxy, helped created a widespread economy, promoting trade by protecting trade routes and dealing with threats to galactic security and preventing war between species , while dealing with diplomatic issues, then yes, the Council has done nothing.
Except all that.
6. Could be a writing gaff, but it is there, and is therefore canon. Humans aren't being forced to take crappy planets.
7. And yet medigel is everywhere for something technically illegal. Weird no? As to genetic modification, the law is meant to prevent people trying to create supersoldiers through genetic engineering. As to the geth, its not entirely true they were 'nice and friendly' till the quarians tried to shut them. As Tali puts it in ME 1, the geth were on the eve of revolution when the shut down order went out, and while the shutdown was probably not a good solution, war broke out almost instantly. The A.I. presidium's first response upon meeting Shepard is to start the explosives.
8. Actually they didn't know the Geth were coming, at least not at that time. They were on alert yes, but they didn't expect the Geth to be able to make a frontal assault on the Citadel without them knowing well in advance.
