It'd be nice if the characters flirted in the party banter. A bit like Zevran and Oghren's lechery, only, reciprocated by the other character. Like the Nathaniel/Velanna or even Oghren/Sigrun banter in Awakenings. It makes sense that they wouldn't just be attracted to Hawke and would flirt with each other. Especially your sibling, it's hardly fair for them to stay celibate for ten years whilst big bro/sis is getting it on with everyone!

Maybe they are and just aren't telling you.

I always assume Alistair and Morrigan are going at it whenever they get a chance in Origins. They just try to hide it.

Yes those two always seemed to be this close to a hatef*ck.

On topic, I really enjoyed the Haer'Dalis/Aerie/CHARNAME love triangle from BG2 and would love to see something similar.

I know DA2 story line and characters are set in stone already.  It would be nice for a change, if companions would romance each other and not wait on the PC to choose them.  Or having an LI that actually would break up with your character mid game for another NPC.  Romance is much more believable if the chance of rejection, the chance of not making it work, and most importantly there is nothing the PC can do to win over completely a potential LI due to in game story circumstances.  Im not asking for a sims game, just that if you are going to do Romances right, add a little bit more conflict in them, instead of just handing it to us.

I agree. The one strong point to the Aerie romance was Haredalise. I guess the jealousy banter between her and Viconia/Jaheira was OK as well.

I've heard enough "WAHHHHHHH! Alistair dumped me!" to last me a lifetime. I don't need to hear "WAHHHHH! Fenris/Isabela/Flemeth dumped me and/or went with Bethany/Carver/Varric instead!". So "nay" to "rejection romances" from me.

Its what they deserve for pre-release LI whining.

Or, you know, they could just be nice, optional love content instead of some drama filled soap opera.

Isn't drama good, though?

Melodrama is not good.

This.

I mean, if Hawke treats the LI like dirt then it would make sense if they left him/her. But otherwise, making things overly-complicated and dramatic is a waste of time. No one wants to play a game for complete realism. If we were being realistic, Hawke would probably not survive the Blight.

It sounds like an interesting idea but you can get dumped enough in real life with out doing it in DA .

its not so much as being dumped as it is also about other NPCs living their own lives making their own decisions without waiting around for Hawke.

I do see some points on being "dramatic" eh I suppose I should just settle for robotic romantic responses and enjoy the smorgasbord of LIs waiting to be chosen. or not.
