Hello.

I've already beaten the game once, and I'm currently on my sencond run, when I noted that these two missions become available based on a certain percentage of Paragon/Renegade points. With the Morality Guide I tried to do some math, but if I'm going Paragon, getting The Negotiation seems impossible with just the free points (freebies, as they are called in the guide).

Have you done it? What decisions do you think could be made in order to get both missions, yet still being mostly Paragon? What I mean is, how to get such amount of points (90%!) without compromising (like killing Wrex, for example) my Paragon profile, or mostly, that doesn't affect my Mass Effect 2 Paragon outcome?

For instance, I know I can safely point a gun at Conrad Verner. The save will be bugged on the second game anyways, so those are some free points that come in handy. Also the same with the scientists in the very Besieged Base assignment.

yes you can get both if u go to noveria and when u have to ask lorik keen or something to testify after he says he will talk 2 him again ask about lady benizer the another topic the ask him again to testify and keep repeting untill both paragon and renagade a full which then makes both quest become avaibale and you can play the rest of the game paragon just make sure u have enough renagade a paragon points to be able 2 do this which is about a quarter prob less been a while scince i have done it and sorry about spellings of names

The point was to avoid exploits.

But if you use the command console you can reset your morality after getting the mission in your journal.

Theoretically, yes, it's possible, but I think you'd end up playing hilariously out of character.  And you wouldn't be able to avoid "compromising" your Paragon or Renegade build.

Yes you could. Just shoot all of the hostages as a renegade or agree a treaty as a paragon.

To add my voice to the chorus of "No"s, I don't believe it is possible to get both quests without using an exploit of some kind, or using the console (if you're on the PC) to give yourself more Paragon/Renegade points.

Was the requirement for this quest changed? I am on my Paragade playthrough atm and I am using the console to test out the points required to get the assignment. So far you only need: 275 Paragon AND Renegade points to unlock both assignments simultaneously. Not the 80% -> 90% rule as stated in the wiki.

And to the OP, yes it is possible to do 80% Renegade AND 90% Paragon without cheating. I made it to 260 Renegade points and was disappointed I was not given the assignment. I used the console to test and found out I was given the assignment at 275 Renegade points. Which is strange because I have not landed on the Asteroid X57 yet.

I swear I'm over 80% Renegade (but I *have* done BDTS), but still no Negotiation assignment transmission. Any way to check exact points on an xbox? :-/
