The article said to be released in 2011 in JAPAN.  We just need an official confirmation from them if it's in North America.

If Square/Enix treats Final Fantasy VII the way they've treated the rest of the Final Fantasy series maybe I don't want to see a remake afterall.

Then again, Final Fantasy VII is the most critically acclaimed game in the series, Hell it's the reason why JRPG's became popular in the US in the first place, there is no way they could possibly butcher it....

Which one FFXIII-2 of versus?

mostly versus, because i think we at least have a timetable for when this will be out, but confirmation would still be nice.

I actually think Final Fantasy Versus XIII looked pretty good. I think there is potential with that one despite Tetsuya Nomura's tiresome art direction which has long since grown old.
I was let down by the Final Fantasy XIII-2 trailer. What was the point of the feathers flying off of lighting's sword? Why is Lightning showing off so much skin? It looks like just a bunch of flash and fan service which was pretty much what FInal Fantasy XIII consisted of entirely.

Also, I cannot BELIEVE Final Fantasy Type 0 just turned out to be a renaming of Agito XIII.  WHAT A LETDOWN!

Just you wait Ghost Lighting, it's going to get delayed and then the PS4 will come out so Square/Enix will switch development to that platform but before they finish they'll go bankrupt and it will be end of Square/Enix and Final Fantasy FOREVER!

You probably won't have to, if FFX-2 is anything to go by it will be a rushed ****** take anyway. I used to look forward to FF games but I find that I have absolutely no trust in Square Enix anymore. Busomjack is right about FF13 tarnishing the name.

What hate lol? I'm just agreeing with Busomjack. I used to love their games but the last few years its like they are determined to ruin their name. Its more disapointment than anything.

I don't think they ruined anything. IMHO XIII is my favorite FF title (and favorite videogame in general).

They should just make this one a PS3 exclusive. Releasing a game on X Box 360 is an odd choice for a Japanese game since almost nobody owns an X Box 360 in Japan.

Theres a huge market for FF outside of Japan though, didn't it sell quite well on the 360? I know it bombed on it in Japan but everywhere else I think it sold well.
