Halo and CoD haven't had 3+ spin-off titles in less than a year.

Neither has FFXIII, this is the first. And MW2 and BO came out only a a year apart (2009-2010)and now COD 8 is coming out this year. That's 3.

well they're all being developed by different teams, take versus for instance its almost entirely being produced by the kingdom hearts team

Square Enix said they will put a HD trailer on their website on 20th january, don't know if it will be something new or just the HD version of the one showed at the Conference .

FFXIII-2, Awesome news, FF13 was a fantastic, beautiful and enjoyable piece of gaming artwork, and whats more lightning is now in sexy scanty armor!!! I hope snow and the rest of the cast come back just to ****** the haters off as well. The game had a few bad points, linearity till final few chapters, lack of towns and side quests, but it was still fun.

You "Oh my cod, FF13 sequel, auto-fail" people are just idiots plain and simple. Square are a smart developer, they'll have learned what made FF13 bad for a majority of people and remedy it with what they asked for and expect from an FF title. No reason they cant learn from their mistakes like everyone else is allowed to, 1 or 2 slip ups and everyone jumps down yer freaking throat.

Im sure FFXIII-2 will blow me away with everything it has to offer as well as other FF and FFXIII fans, and i bet it wont be a bug filled mess with a bullcarp DLC released every few months like all these western smeg for brains games..

Anyway i digress, bring on that lovely pinkish hair Lightning!

Teaster trailer looks great. I'll probably play the game when it comes out. I've been playing Final Fantasy games since... well I won't date myself. Good or bad, I'll just add this one to the collection.

I dunno maybe because they are some of the most amazing games. Everytime I play a Final Fantasy I fall in love with the story (I mean I play Final Fantasy 1 on my cell phone!). Final Fantasy 13 stole my breathe away a couple of times and I am super excited about Final Fantasy 13-2

FF XIII destroyed any chance of me ever playing another FF game again or any other JRPG for that matter. The whole genre is just overblown melodrama. If I never see another 30 minute long cutscene showing Snow with Lightnings sister watching fireworks it will be too freaking soon.

Not to mention the battle system had me falling asleep and winning and you can't pay me to stick around with Hope (guh worst character in video game history... seriously)

No thanks I'm done with the series.

It's already confirmed in the U.S. There's an english teaser trailer with the same voice actor who did Lightning. I'm glad they're willing to fill the plot-holes, because I was left hungry for more after finishing part 1. My only real complaint about FF13 was the fact it had no real gameplay.
