Ghost Lightning: But I though Lightning's outfit didn't partially reveal her for lack of a better term,  'upper leg'. Please excuse me if I'm wrong. (no sarcasm)

It didn't, but in terms of amount it's relatively the same.

I see. Very interesting. Well to clarify, I have nothing against Final Fantasy XIII, in fact I have it. Just curious to see the general reviews of XIII-2 and such.

The more I think about thins the more I like the idea of XIII-2 (although I am still massively sceptical about it). Basically X-2 was a failure to me because X didn't leave too many lose ends, the only real area I wanted to know more about was the war a thousand years ago, aside from that there was little else to work with.

XIII left a lot more lose ends; what happened to the people on pulse? Who was the maker, why did they create the fal'cie and cocoon, where did they go? What were the pulse fal'cie doing (what was their purpose)?

XIII left more questions open so hopefully the plot of XIII-2 will work better because of this.

I'm good as long as Snow and Shaz are out of the story. They are one of the worst characters ever. Hooray for Lightning and Hope.

OMFG Sorry man, nothing against you but did nobody read the damn epilogue?!!!!

READ THIS!! It explains what happens right after XIII and right before XIII-2

I better not read that link or it will spoil the end of the game. (I still haven't beat XIII yet. Too many games to play, and too many papers to write)

I beat FFXIII a while ago, and I thought it was cool. The final boss was a tad disappointing, and the ending wasn't my favorite, but eh. Honestly, I just hope it's not another X-2--I couldn't even bring myself to finish that one.

I like any game Square releases. I'm easy to please. Besides, while Auto-Battle was efficient I preferred putting in my own commands and making the illusion of choice. Plus I loved the Role System. Disliked the way they did Game Over. The story was overall confusing as ****, but the characters reacted real to me. Especially Sazh. When I finally understood the story the best I could, it was still a little confusing but I liked how it ended.
While I love Nier to bits, I liked where it ended, and even Ending E. I couldn't imagine where it'd go from there besides, peace or all-out war.
Kingdom Hearts is getting a little hit or miss with me. I love 1 and 2, but 356/2 Days and Chain of Memories didn't go well with me. Birth By Sleep is on the fence but I'm enjoying it. I think Re:Coded and 3D will be fun. Especially 3D.
Dissidia's fun as hell and I'm looking forward to it too, but I hope Celes, and Vivi are in it. I think someone from 11 or Cid Raines is in it looking at the newest trailer where Prishe pops up, unless it's super pope.
Dragon Quest VIII was fun at first, but the mute protagonist made me feel disconnected and all the running back and forth grew tedious. Didn't get IX.
I'm still looking forward to Type-Zero and Versus alongside the Sequel. Type-Zero's game play seems more serious and is going to be like Crisis Core, while I see Noctis as the next Vincent, except you won't have fond memories to fall back on when his game fails. Except maybe trailers.

I was really looking forward to 13 but I never had the money for it. From the teaser and release date this is defiantly on my list.

(and more quotes before that)

Just you wait Ghost Lighting, it's going to get delayed and then the PS4 will come out so Square/Enix will switch development to that platform but before they finish they'll go bankrupt and it will be end of Square/Enix and Final Fantasy FOREVER!

Busomjack, you're one of the most impolite beings I ever met on these boards. Would you please apologize to Ghost Lightning? I can't believe mods haven't done anything with your attitude yet. Final Fantasy is here to stay, wether you like it or not. People will still buy, rent, bash it. People tend to criticize what is new to them, it's been like this for ages and it will never change. If you don't like the series anymore, we don't care. Just leave the fans alone. We haven't done anything to you and we have the right to express our happiness without being rammed on and dissed by your kind.

Kitase and Toriyama FFXIII-2 Dengeki PlayStation Interview:

"Yes... In case you haven't noticed yet. A lot of information is starting to pour in. Dengeki Playstation has a two page spread on FFXIII-2 and one of those pages is a interview with Producer Yoshinori Kitase and Director Motomu Toriyama.

XIII-2's story begins in Gran Pulse after the ending of XIII.
The story will feel like it expands out from the after story that was included in the booklet with Xbox 360's Final Fantasy XIII International.
Outside of Lightning, other characters will appear in the game in unexpected forms. Some will see major changes.
XIII-2 is a full sequel. You'll learn some of the things that took place in the background scenes of XIII.
The story will be more dark and mysterious than XIII's.
The story will focus on the goddess Etro.
The game will not have the pop feel of Final Fantasy X-2
The battle system will be an evolved form of XIII's ATB system.
They're listening to opinions both inside and outside of Square Enix and from outside of Japan regarding characters, story and interface.
There may be a difficulty setting."

This all sounds great to me.

I am afraid that that just means that instead of their dialogue being cheesy and melodramatic, it will now be emo and melodramatic

I'm a big romantic and I was a bit upset that there was no romantic interest for Lightning. I hope that will be changed in XIII-2.

Who would put up with her angry ways?  One thing I never got was if Fang and Vanille supposed to a couple? I don't remember it ever being very clear on that. Also what age's were those two supposed to be?

Well, I was secretly hoping Snow and Lightning would hook up, because they had great chemistry but anyway..... *grumbles* Image IPB

I never got Fang and Vanille were were a couple.  I always thought that was the fandom going shipper crazy.  Kinda like the whole Hope/Lightning shipping thing (which makes me ill Image IPB, but whatev).

Thank god for the lack of a pop feel.  Seriously, J-pop is terrible, and has no place in videogames.
