I really hope so... to me she's the most interesting character in both ME1 and 2... not to mention her kickass powers.

I'd love to have her on my team for ME3.

I dare say all will[unless they died in ME2 from the save file] but i dont see all working for Shepard again. Unless you romanced Jack why would she want to stay? Even less so if you are still with Cerberus.

Would like a Thane quest thats sees you and him looking for a cure for his illness.

The fact that she is a DLC makes me suspect that she will be among the crew who doesn't get a place in team Shepard in ME3. I would like her back though, she was kind of funny. Perhaps she can be in a new DLC for ME3.

Actually this could go either way now with Kasumi being in or out.

They were probably going to make a small note or reference to Kasumi in ME3 based on if you had the DLC but with all PS3 users having access to Kasumi and her mission they could easily justify making it a much larger segment since more players will have participated in it.  They could just simply lock the larger portion of the content out to people on 360/PC who did not acquire the Kasumi DLC and maybe just leave a little hint in there for people to go back and try it.

It depends on what Bioware's import options are. I honestly hope they only allow a full survival import and bring everyone back, so having Kasumi would be fine for me. The only thing is, she's DLC, and that could certainly mar her chances of returning.

I really would love her to be back. But I think that also depends on how well the DLC sold and of course it also depends on what Bioares planes for ME3 are regarding the squad (new ones or only the old ones).

A full survival import would be great. You could spend more time doing stuff than recruiting. Kasumi is also one of my favorite characters. I'd love to have her back and with full conversations like the other team members. Kasumi had a great personality for a DLC character and her powers in ME2 were awesome.

EDIT - This also...

Yeah I do agree, that maybe ME 3 shouldn't focus that much on recruiting but rather on keeping the team together. Kasumi is a great character and I love listening to her opinions. I choose her, Miranda and Jack as my regular party members.

ME3 should have all the past characters as squad members cause we'll need a big army to save earth!

This.

And I like her personality. She has funny comments, many pop-culture references and such. After Garrus and Tali she is my most used squadmate.

Although I´m not a fan of that matrix helicopter scene :?

I agree. She is also 1 of my favorite charcters from ME2 ( not to mention the whole entire ME Universe ) but I don't have high hopes for her returning in ME3 especially as a squadmate. She was a DLC character, an optional extra that not everyone would have downloaded. either because they did not have access to broadband or because they did not feel like paying for an extra squadmate ).

Shame. What a waste of such an interesting character.

Yes. I even just caught my femShep staring at Kasumi's ass while crouched by a crate. She looked... intrigued by what she saw.

Kasumi would be a welcome return for ME3, but honestly I'd accept any character with the sort of light, optimistic sarcasm she brings to ME2. There are plenty of people with baggage and tortured pasts in the game so it's refreshing to have a generally happy teammate who's making jokes about their longshot situation.

I liked her, kinda felt she didn't really fit the story, but I enjoyed her nonetheless. Doubt she'll be back though...if she is, it'd be a pleasant surprise.

She's my favourite human character of ME, so yes ... I hope that she'll return, but she has the chances of anyother squadmate to come back in ME3 for what we knows actually. We just cross fingers and hope that BW noticed how many people prefers to have the ME2's team back instead of and whole new bunch of unknown characters.

My main concern with squad members returning is that they COULD be dead in some people's playthroughs. Point is.. will those ppl simply miss out on dialogues, quests and other interactions with that squad member.. or will there be a replacement. (Like Wrex) If so.. they can't have the same dialogue or interactions and so BioWare would be creating all kinds of new characters while most people will never get to have them in their squad.

Of course if they stick with "The squad member is dead, you're simply missing out there, no chance of any replacement, end of story!" then I could see most previous squad members return as squadmembers in ME3. In that case I would love to have both kasumi and zaeed as a full squad member (with proper dialogue of course)

Edit: But if Kasumi returns in ME3 I kinda hope she isn't a romance option. Too many LI's in ME2 already imo

If you made Jack loyal and stayed that way I don't see why she wouldn't return to fight along side Shepard.  For the first time in her life someone actually cares about her and she has found a place where she fits in...well better than anywhere else.

Kasumi on the other hand I don't think will be back cause she was a DLC character.  However I wouldn't mind being wrong about that.

And that is the way it should be.  If they are dead they are dead.  If they live they should return.  That would be what people would have to sacrifice so that their deaths meant something in the next game.  You make a choice you live with it.  If you miss out on dialogue or an event because a member died during the suicide mission then this would be a consequence of that.  The way it should be.  I was surprised the death on Vimire didn't have a bigger impact in ME2, but perhaps it will in ME3.

just because all survive does not mean all will be in the squad. Sure i want all in the squad but i will not get my hopes up.
