What's the deal if you buy the game used from gamestop can you get a new code or is all the codes not working?

I don't think GameStop (or any other second-hand game store for that matter) has new codes to give out for games. The whole purpose of these codes is to discourage second hand sales, at least to the point where you can buy the stuff from PSN for an additional price if you don't have the code.

Yeah EA handles new codes through their support line ... but that didn't pan out either, well not yet at least.
Grrr never been so anxious about missing out on great game, having to salve the thirst with any thing space opera centric that is in close proximity. Bless you Babylon 5 and Futurama (a stretch i know, but the humour alleviates in stressful times) :innocent:

My activation code got me all the DLC once I was in the game, but the Cerberus Network is a joke. The little computer at the start asking to connect to EA servers and then nothing else?
And then I find out that EA have chosen to close down the Cerberus Network until they have more DLC to release (or more advertising they wanna do)? The PS3 port was clearly just a cash grab and EA have dropped the ball big time for those who waited for this port. There's no need to grab a new copy, as a 2nd copy will have almost everything one will need.

Hello, my Redemption Code for PS3 edition doesn't work. I've bought some DLC via Playstation Store, but it doesn't appear in the game. Please help me with this issue.

I searched the thread, but couldn't find an answer, I purhcased Dragon Age Ultimate Edition for PS3 and in it was a code for the Blood Dragon Armor for Mass Effect 2 which I assume is for the PS3 release as well, anyhow I downloaded the code here and it only showed up under xbox/pc, but no PS3. I contacted EA and they said that the armor is only good for Mass effect 2 xbox/pc version. Is this right? Why would there be a dlc code for a different console in the PS3 game?

okay here is my problem.
I am a US citizen.
I live in Egypt.
the playstation network doesn't allow you to register your account for Egypt.
I registered it mine for the US.
but I got my copy of Mass Effect 2 in the UK.
and the game keeps saying "the code you entered may not be correct or may no longer be valid"
but I have never used the code before and it is correct.
someone please help me.

Im having the same problem here. I bought the europe version (UK) BLES-01133. I used the redeemption code, i made the download, but the dlc didnt work at all. I used an UK account to do the download and a psn uk account to.
I tried to use the support center, but the solution didnt work to (they gave me another code and they told me to create another accounts).
So, there will be a possible solution for this problem? Or we have to forget this dlc?
I will leave here an thought: "Why they did a so complex method to download and use the dlc?"
