Hello again guys. Well since my last mistake iam little afraid to keep messing with my toolset without some tips, then iam here to ask:

Guys, how can i make my nights darker?
Lighter in some maps and darker i others?

I was seeing some thing about allways night or daycicle in properities but if i got it right my night has to much light, i wanna make torch or light spells necessary!

I also put a area with a ship, i want to put a guy inside my ship with a torch, not to talk only to make part ofthe scenario... that would be nice i man in a far boat with a torch allways watching you from far...

In the toolset, open the area that you want to work with. Then on the right, you should see the area properties. You want to alter the day/night cycle settings. There are 7 settings which each correspond with a different part of the day. I think that 2 or 3 of them are for night. Look through the different settings (there are a lot!) and look for the light intensity. There are 2 light intensity settings: sky light and ground light. Lower those numbers to make it darker and increase them to make it darker. Remember to write down the originals when you are experimenting with the numbers so you can go back to the default.

If it's not dark enough after you made the changes, make more changes.

Right... before you make any changes to the, say, nighttime values, of course make sure you have selected "nighttime" up in the day/night stages menu. If the toolset still shows daytime or default, of course you won't see any changes when you change the values of a different day/night cycle stage.

You have changed the colors for fog, ground light, sky horizon. sky zenith, and sun/moon right?

The setting IsAlwaysNight does nothing for visuals.

Is the Day/Night cycle box checked True? If not, then the only cycle that area will use is the default cycle.

Make all the colors for the above color settings black(0,0,0). It'll be plenty dark then;)

And use a human for your tests. You know, just in case darkvision or low light vision might be making an issue of this for you (it shouldn't, but you never know...)
