Personally I was fairly dissapointed with Witch Hunt. It took me around an hour to finish and didnt give me the sence of completion that I felt I was deserving of.

Leliana's Song I literally played through today, and I thought it was a good expansion. It explains exactly what happens with Leliana before DA:O begins.

But, if you are planning on getting both at some point then get whichever you prefer to get. Its totally up to you

EDIT: Darn Phoenix. Just clipped in before me as I was writing that post. I play on PS3 Ultimate so I have no idea how much they cost on XBL

But I would suggest Leliana's Song as it's all around the better quality DLC, unless you are a huge Morrigan fan and romanced her then go Witch Hunt.

Wasn't that a one-day deal, though? Or was that for the ME2 DLC only?

At any rate, I agree with Jlb. Leliana's Song is overall the better one here; Witch Hunt is only really worth if you're a Morrigan fan to the core.

The ME2 offer is a different thing. There is an ongoing campaign for DAO DLC at this very moment.

LS is a very well done DLC but once you've played it and gotten the achievements, there's no point playing it again. WH is not as well done but you can play it through with all of your PC's and it is the last chapter in the campaign - so, I would say that WH is the better value overall.

Yes LS is a retcon. I enjoyed it, especially as with a VA'd protagonist there was a hint of what DA2 might be like. But Witch Hunt is the continuation of your Warden's story. If you romanced Morrigan and want to continue that, WH is better.

As much as I love Leliana I got to cast my vote for Witch Hunt. That said I and almost all my characters like Morrigan and want to go chasing after her to help tie up that story. Also as said above after playing LS once there is little replay value.

I vote for witch hunt, Morrigan is my only love interest and I did liked the DLC and the stuff given after finishing the DLC plus that tie-in towards DA2 and the possibility of her return from the Eluvian get it interesting for me. Having said that, I also liked Leliana's song even though she is in the best friend situation, I did liked her DLC and the fact that her replies were voiced, also the armor can be useful in origins. And since the DLC's are about the two beautiful ladies from orgins (even when Morrigan appears until the end) I'd say go for both DLC's, besides, I enjoyed having Arianne's company in the party.

Lelianas Song felt cheap to me, it was created using recycled environments and felt like the story was changed to fit those envirionments.

You can't import your WH character to Awakening, so the question is kinda moot.

Witch Hunt is a romance pack for people who fully romanced Morrigan. Otherwise, it is pointless and makes no sense.

Warden: There you are. Thanks for sticking around and waiting for me to show up.  Wait a sec, why are you waiting?

Morrigan: I don't know.  But now that you're here I guess I'll go. Don't even think about killing me!

Warden: What? Why exactly would I want to kill you???

Morrigan: I don't know. Why did you follow me?

Warden: I ran all across Ferelden to find you and now that I have... I'm not sure why I came looking for you.

*awkward pause*

Warden: Ummmm? .... Uh?.. er, so what was that ritual all about?  What was the master plan?

Morrigan: What does it matter? You turned down my offer.

Warden: I'm just curious...

Morrigan: Should have taken my offer then. Sucks to be you.

Warden: Uh... Goodbye?

Leliana's Song has nothing to do with rather or not you romanced her.  It is a self contained story and the best DAO DLC there is.

I personally prefer Witch Hunt - this might be because my character romanced Morrigan and the choices you could make were pretty cool. You could either go lovey-dovey or dramatic.



Leliana's Song was ok, but I'm not a huge Leliana fan; in fact I find her annoying, so this DLC was not really my thing. I suppose people who like her or have a neutral opinion would enjoy it, as it's nice to take a look into the past.

Chalk that up to Bioware not wanting to develop new locations for $7 DLC.

Well both DLC's are bad but leliana song is much better,but you find out more of lelianas past in DAO than Leliana song,witch hunt is boring as hell but the ending is dissapointing but it telles you a SPOILER about DA 2,but you can check than on youtube,I loved morrigan and leliana but DLC's are very dissapointing,but lelianas song has a plus,great soundtrack and some fun missions Leliana's song is mediocore not bad just disapointing but witch hunt total waste of time and especialy money,its just not enjoyable at all,but with leliana you can have fun and enjoy a little in soundtrack atnosphere and more,but still thats only 20% of DLC wich lasts 1 h and 30 min witch hunt even shorther,I hope i helped DAO Forever!But id youre a total fan like me get it,no matter how bad is it its still Dragon age and dragon age is always fun...
