Hi,

I just bought Mass Effect 2 and downloaded the Cerebus DLC pack. I was just wondering how do i access the comic book so i can make all the choices from Mass Effect 1?

Starting a New Game doesn't bring it up, will it come up at some later point?

Thanks.

Same here. And what comes with the Cerberus Network download EXACTLY?

I'm interested to see if the Firepower, Aegis, Recon Operation and Appearance Pack come with it or if we have to actually buy them.

Supposedly, you'll get the comic after first encountering the Elusive man

It's all on the little card with the code.
New character, weapons, armors and more

Mine didn't. I played thru up until the 1st encounter with the Illusive Man. No comic book.

So just to clarify, the interactive comic is something that pops up after you have created a new game, watched the short introduction of shepherd being revived through the lazarus project? Or is it after the whole introduction level when you are taken to talk with the illusive man?

Hi everyone, I'm interested in getting ME2 on PS3, just exactly what do I get out of the box? I really don't have my console connected to the net (not planning to anytime soon) so what's included in the disk? and do I need to download the interactive comic?

The comic should start right after the destruction of Normandy.

according to joystiq there are "issues" with the comic being available since it is on the Cerberus Network, which is currently down. Check it out here: http://www.joystiq.c...rberus-network/

Heaven forbid they could just include the comic IN the game disc and not make it some DLC.

Could someone please provide a clear, concise answer as to why I still can't play the comic despite the fact that I downloaded and installed the cerberus pack with my redemption code? I'm very aware of the general pessimism on the internet and generally keep my mouth shut, but this is F***ING INSANE!

When exactly is the comic supposed to occur? It doesn't make any sense that Miranda says that you sacrificed the council before you get a chance to choose otherwise, and her scene with TIM comes before the Normandy's destruction.

Edit: I'm actually playing it on the PC just so you know.

I need to enter the redeem code in the PS Store to download the comic (along with the other stuff?) before the comic will load for me, is that correct? Can I assume that once the download is complete that the comic was downloaded as well and is there a way to confirm that without having to create a new character and play through?

I agree. I'm a 360 gamer, and I can tell you that the default choices from ME1 really stink. You need that comic if you want to have more fun.

Update: was able to download comic by entering DLC redeem codes. Comic loads just after Shepard is blasted out of the Normandy, before the character customization.

ETA: I should add in order to go through the comic and make choices I had to start with a brand new Shepard.

Ok, EnchantedEyes1 is right! I spent literally hours on the phone trying to figure out why I couldn't see my connection with cerberus dispite having downloaded the pack. After Shepard is pulled out into space the screen should go black and start the dark horse comic, this sequence is of course the intro. Im assuming that further work is being done to cerberus and the laptop on the title screen will pop up then...

So, I got the DLC pack downloading before I left for work today and set my PS3 to install it before shutting down. Just booted it up now and still didn't see an option to play Genesis. After reading the other posts here, I just started a normal game, and I noticed that in the intro scene, they removed the line about having let the council die. So, having the DLC installed, with Genesis, will actually change your game right there, so you can tell if it's working before going any further than that. Very interesting way to make sure people either buy the game new, or purchase the Cerberus Network pass with a used copy. Oh well, it's working now, so I'm happy.

The line is missing because Genesis starts AFTER that.  The PS3 version can't know what you're going to decide ahead of time, so they dropped that dialogue for all new games on the PS3, no matter what you do or do not have installed.

ah man! I should have read a bit more about the game, I thought that the download content pertained only to the firewalker and zaeed and I was fine not being able to get that as I have that on my PC version of ME2, BUT it seems like ALL DLC is tied to the cerberus code key after all (w/c means I WOULD have to DOWNLOAD ALL that extra content)... I thought the disk would contain the kasumi, overlord and lair of the shadow broker DLC as well as the interactive comic on disk like they did with the ultimate edition of Dragon Age... !@#! sorry about that, I brought the PS3 version thinking I can catch up on the DLC as loaded ON the disk (I NEVER connect my PS3 to the internet ... logistics crap on my end) EPIC FAIL for ME T_T
