yep - I should have read up before starting to play. I bought last night, installed on the PS3 and then activated the code. But I wanted to play so I set it to download in the background and started my game. I figured the DLC was only additional missions and kept wondering when the comic would come up. I ended up playing for 4+ hours.

I played ME 1 on the 360 before it died and I replaced with PS3. I was psyched about the comic so I could reveiw the story and pick some of my same decisions - and continue on the PS3. Oh well. I guess I'll go with the default instead of starting over.

When exactly is the comic supposed to occur? It doesn't make any sense that Miranda says that you sacrificed the council before you get a chance to choose otherwise, and her scene with TIM comes before the Normandy's destruction.

Edit: I'm actually playing it on the PC just so you know.

The intro as been changed for PS3, she doesn't say anything that hasn't been decided in the genesis comic.
The Genesis is on the pack you get with the code, it starts after the intro.

ah man! I should have read a bit more about the game, I thought that the download content pertained only to the firewalker and zaeed and I was fine not being able to get that as I have that on my PC version of ME2, BUT it seems like ALL DLC is tied to the cerberus code key after all (w/c means I WOULD have to DOWNLOAD ALL that extra content)... I thought the disk would contain the kasumi, overlord and lair of the shadow broker DLC as well as the interactive comic on disk like they did with the ultimate edition of Dragon Age... !@#! sorry about that, I brought the PS3 version thinking I can catch up on the DLC as loaded ON the disk (I NEVER connect my PS3 to the internet ... logistics crap on my end) EPIC FAIL for ME T_T

Kasumi, Overlord and Shadow broker are already on the disk, not the comic.

I was under the impression that PS3 owners were getting the items available in the PSN store for free. Yet they aren't installed on the disc, or free. I couldn't access any comic either. Should I wait until I have that option available to continue playing?

I'm not 100% this is correct, but if it's true that the Genesis comic isn't, in fact, included with the game, you can certainly count me among the internet challenged folks who are not happy.

The comic is included as part of the cerberus downloadable content.

This should be downloadable off PSN for free via the use of the code included in the box along with the game.

Right, but I can't download anything at the moment. I probably would've bought the game anyway, but you might want to brush up on the implications of the word "included".

wait but I thought the mass effect genesis comic was put on the Cd, not on the crappy card. I don't go on the internet for my ps3 it takes to much downloads etc.

yes you do (it's stupid I know) EA wants to reduce second hand copies of games. The comic comes with the Cerberus DLC and it cost 15 dollars :s If you don't have one it's not that bog of deal, you can fully experience ME2 without importing ME1

I Can't even get to the Comic (Sub Account on my PS3) despite the fact I Am over the Age required for Both An EA account, and the Game in question, as it says I'm Too young...

Needless to say, This is.... *Speaks calmly though teeth are clenched* Irritating.

The decisions you make in ME1 (i.e. in the Genesis comic) affect certain scenes, items, dialogue options, etc. in ME2.

I'm kind disappointed with this mass effect media, I think I was expecting to much of this you know, just bougth it today and spent almost 2 hours looking the comic since it is written on the cover of the game that the comic is included!

So after download the Cerberus DLC, what I have to do is to Start a new game and after the Normandy explosion scene instead of appering a black screen with a summary of the history the comic will begin?

Please this topic is very large so could anyone please post a definitive answer for this question?

maibe wirte some step by step like:

1. donwload cerberus DLC

2. start a new game

3. the comic will show up rigth after the intro when Normandy explodes

if it is correct everyone can use it as an answer!

thank you everyone

Like this. After the prologue, before character customization.

Honnestly I am really, really annoyed by the fact that you have to download Genesis from the Store, as I never connect my PS3 to the internet. I live on campus, And for some reason the University decided to block things like Game consoles... World of Warcraft and so on. So now I am stuck playing the game with the default choices, which frankly don't appeal to me.

dude seriously believe me when I say that you can fully enjoy the game without that comic. The comic let you choose 4 things. For example in the comic you can choose to kill someone or not. If you don't kill him someone gonna thank you for not doing so. They only mention your choices in like 3 or 4 VER SHORT scenes and that's it. So just enjoy the game, you're not missing anything.

I think you are missing things if you don't get to see the Genesis comic. At least personally, I was glad that I was able to learn about the overall story and the key events in ME1 (although the comic definitely cut corners). Knowing what happened in the past, and seeing the choices I made open up new scenes certainly made my ME2 experience a lot better.

But hey, that's just me.

Since i rented the game, i cannot determine the choices made in ME1. This has disappointed me so much that i really have no desire to play the game. T_T

It is not just that at least one or two of those choices will also have an effect on Mass Effect 3 as well.

As someone who has just finished the game on default settings , you do miss some choice within the game. Though idk if you would really miss those choice if you have not played the other game. And sadly it seems I am pretty much screwed over by EA because screwing over paying custmers always works well to make sure they don't try to get your products for free.

I know what I'm suppose to do but the comic isn't on the PSN. AT ALL. If it was there I would have downloaded it already.
