@Raizo, that dialogue is on the 360, you have to pick the left choices on the wheel rather than jumping to toast at the first chance :-)

OT - I came across a very annoying glitch in Overlord..... The HH got seriously stuck inside the terrain (several times in fact) and just morphed through the rocks on the lava flow (it was OK, but I couldn't see it) When it got stuck, it was proper stuck, took 15 minutes of fiddling about to get it out. Also the targeting seemed 'off', compared to what I am used to and didn't do as much damage, I am sure it is just a glitch, but very frustrating!

Just still thinking about that overlord mission and the crazy "Tron/Matrix" style part that occurred. Man I loved it! You even did a great job making it feel creepy with the tripped out memories, computer circuits the bit of horror elements, the puzzles... It was practically flawless! It felt like playing Resident Evil, Matrix and X Files all in one amazing package! I hope further things in ME can lean heavily in that direction... Same for the shadow broker! The Biotics were amazing in that fight! The chase was amazing and you expanded the Illium world to the point you felt like you were there! Anytime weather is shown in the game it always feels better to me. The lightning, rain etc. I still love ME despite my complaining of all the tons of glitches. I just wish they learn how to play test their ports... Very noobish on their part for releasing it in this state. When can we get a patch on this game?!

To me the most annoying "detail" was that they cut out the whole Feros plot in the comic but left the side-mission on Ilium in the game presented by some vanilla colonist instead of Shiala.

Just got to the end of the Final battle and before I could deliver the final shot, THe game froze and the screen turned black! I have to redo the entire fight! This game is rapidly dropping into my crap list...(Pissed!)

Are you sure your console is OK?  Maybe it is overheating?  I can't imagine BW putting out something with that level of stability.

Sure...My console ONLY overheats when ME2 is in! That completely makes since every single bug that happens! So when I randomly get stuck in geometry, enemies float, the comic book crashes, the game freezes, characters disappears, go thru objects that are suppose to be solid, options dont work, game skips scenes and battles and throws you into the end, characters eyes roll around, you randomly get placed on top of a place you try to cover on and get stuck, level stops working, normany crashes and turns Omega stobe lights, etc this is all due to over heating but is contain in almost everybodies consoles despite it ONLY occuring during ME2's crappy port?! Sorry, but you seem to not be paying any attention... Go look at my past post and look at a few glitches I posted or read some of the glitches posted here. My console is beyond fine. Trust me, there is no way these issues are due to my console. When you encounter a huge glitch Ill be waiting to tell you it must be your bathtub. Or ask if your TV was on or plugged in... You couldnt have read any of my post...

But yes I do agree with you on one thing. I cant imagine putting something out in this state, but I dont have to thanks to my purchase.

I think the game is fantastic myself, i just platinum'd the game.

I could give many many positive things.

but i really just want to point out two problems.

one more aggravating problem.

the audio is off on some scenes. It isn't always the same scenes, it's random. like the lipsyncing and the sound effects (thrusters, guns, explosions, etc.) are off from a few microseconds (enough to be noticed) to one or two seconds.

Yeah this issue also seems to happen to me on quite a few occasions.

I just want to say i love Mass Effect, just finished it about a week before playing the second on PS3. I played Mass Effect 2 non stop and beat in about 4 days. I just started a second playthrough. I never played it before on 360. I loved this game.

The interactive comic is great for what it was. It doesn't do amazing justice to the first. Especially to someone who has never played it.

I am disappointed with three things, however.

1. The most shocking thing to me is when I learned certain scenes are not in the game. Conversations with characters from the first based on your imports are not included. I don't understand why these bits are not included. For all the "extra stuff" that came on the disc, we are not told bits are taken out. I understand it would be difficult to include these things not knowing what we did in the first. Still it is very disappointing.

2. I have a major problem with the fact most of the crew is very underdressed for the battles they are in. Shepard has clothes he wears on the Normandy and then armor when he goes out. Makes sense, why is that not the same for everyone. the whole crew should have armor. You are decked out, but your crew is wearing barely anything. Besides characters from the first, everyone is underdressed. This is a problem with the game as a whole not just PS3 version, but i feel i should bring notice.

3. The hammerhead stuff is horrible disgraces the Mako. Also certain bits of dialogue cut out before the words are finished.

I plyed around with the options menu this morning and made the display a little brighter and took off the film grain, It's made quite a huge difference to the over all look of the PS3 version although I still can't say for certain whether it looks better than the 360 version or not..

Sadly the game froze on me during Mordin's recruiment mission ( I guess I spoke to soon when I said I had not come across any glitches so far ), scared the **** out me since I've never had a PS3 game freeze on me before ( the last time a console froze on me was when my 1st 360 was beginning to suffer from the RROD ).

It's a brilliant game and runs well on PS3.....however if the devs don't fix the freezing, sound and corrupt save game issues that are being reported I may be forced to cancel my Dragon Age 2 pre-order. After the mess that was Awakening I am worried. Much as I love Bioware games, they are starting to go the route of Bethesda with their very poor playtesting regime.

...having said that, the actual game content of ME2 is as superb as you'd expect from Bioware (just please sort out the gamebreaking tech issues)

Just one sole reason why i won't be buying or playing ME2 on the PS3, I don't want to start my character in the middle of the Story, if ME1 was on the PS3 and i could import my chracter(s) in to the PS3 versions of ME2/3 then i would be tempted as i like the PS3 more than the Xbox.

A way of importing any previous character from PC or XBox360 (not sure if the xbox version would work) would be awesome.
Something like "Upload old char to your EA account --> PS3 version automatically fetches data and offers a takeover" would be nice. At the very least the facial design code worked, so my current char looks like the one i had when playing the PC version of ME2.

I hope we hear about a patch this week. Great game but a decent amount of issues to be dealt with. Not saying they all need to be fixed in the first patch but some of the more obvious ones like the romance photo bug and sound delays.

Is anyone from BioWareEA even reading this thread?

HEY GUYS WHY CAN'T WE REGISTER OUR GAME SO WE CAN POST IN THE SPOILER FORUM?

That is almost as insulting as the fact that the box lies and says that it "contains" the interactive comic.

I am starting to wonder the same thing. Usually Bioware is pretty goods about informing the Community but i am getting a little worried that we have not heard much of anything yet about the issues we have addressed.

Definetly, not only was ME2 my own personal pick for game of the year for 2010 ( despite all my ****ing and complaining, I only complain because I love it so much and I want ME3 to be perfect ) but it is one of the highest rated games this generation and it has won many awards.

The PS3 version is very good and is defeintly worth picking up if you don't own a 360 or a fairly high end spec pc, there seems to be a few bugs here and there but that problem can easily be solved with a patch.

The Interactive comic does a great job of filling you in on what happened in ME1 so you are not going to be too confused going into ME2 without playing ME1. The only people who complain about the comic are people like myself who have played ME1 but if you have not played ME1 then you won't feel like you've missed out on anything, in a way ignorance is bliss, you can't miss somthing if you never knew it existed in the first place.

I think the interactive comic is good, your allowed to make some of the important decisions that i was hoping to bring into the second game. But it doesn't do justice for people who have never played ME at all. You at least of had to played the first game to make sense of the comic in my opinion.

But i havent ran into any major bugs that i took the time to read about :D. But i did run into one bug, when i played hours at end and was taking the elevator in the Normandy to another section of the ship. The screen went black and did an ultraviolet lighting with the pixels, but when i went in th elevator again the load screen looked fine. But the other part of the ship did the same thing, had to restart the Playstation to get it fixed.

I am sadden Bioware was unable to get ME1 to the Playstation 3 too, but it has encouraged me to want to get a new 360 now. I am hoping the ending story in ME3 and stuff will turn out a bit different in the PS3 vs 360. Since the 360 version will in theory have your Shepherd from the 1st game all the way to the third game.

I've got both systems. I've been lurkingImage IPB and seems people have some pretty ..um... strong opinions around here (a slight troll infestation). Should I get ME for 360 or the PS3?

Looked at the comics and it all seems cool. So is playing the first game totally worth it or am I going to be  frustrated because the gameplay is apparently not as good ME2 (Iplayed the demo)? I'm not talking about "RPG" features or anything, just straight up gameplay.

Played for 14hrs and thought the game was fantastic, graphics and all.

Ran into a couple of bugs though: (1) During some missions, doors wouldn't open. Like the door would be locked until you killed everything, but wouldn't open for me afterward. (2) After loading into a cut-scene, the screen would freeze, but I could hear dialogue and whatnot still going on.

Loading time is a little long. I also had a problem reading the text. Like its too small and dialogue options were sometimes in front of white "background", making it harder to read. Was kinda hoping for an option to make it larger. Might just be me though.

Other than that, I'm really enjoying it so far, especially since I don't own a 360 or great computer.

For some reason the game froze on me on my insanity run when I was at the citadel had to turn off my PS3 to find out the save file was gone.

Anyways my feedback for this version is that I thought the different lighting was worst on PS3 on Horizon I thought it was too bright... or maybe it's just me it's been awhile since I played mE2 on my 360 any way s it could be just me.

I'm about 40 hours into my first playthrough and I'm loving every minute of the epic story and great gameplay. I played the first Mass Effect on PC and you guys carry over most of the story from the first game quiet well most of the major details where included just some smaller details could have been added in the interactive comic but I don't think most would have sat through a 30 minute comic. My favourite mission so far is Lair of the Shadow Broker you guys really out did yourselves with that mission big thumb ups and I hope there alot more of that sort of content to come in Mass Effect 3.

There are some glitches like the out of sync sound but the game is so good I over look that. I was thinking for the loading time there might be other options you might consider to ease gamers frustrations with them, like say having the cut scene going while the area or level is loading or maybe a small mini game to keep gamers minds off the loading like space invaders or something lol. Anyway thanks for the great game. :)
