No manual in the pack. O___O'
A simple, damn, black and white paper sheet. LOL.
And i must paying my 60 euro for this...this...stuff ?
No thanks, really, u fool me, i don't buy.
I turn my attention to second-hand market with pleasure, or when the price get down...

You need a manual? Seriously?

What do you think Lazarus Station and Freedom's Progress are for?

not I need, but i DEMAND it for THAT PRICE.
The game is released ONE YEAR later and full price without a manual?
With a piece of black-white paper sheet?
No thanks, it's a shame for me, there's no respect for consumers.
Even Cerberus net don't work....the game is release 18 and in that day Cerberus don't work? Are u serious?
You want my money and u don't give me your services? And you give me a B/W paper sheet? No way.
The game is awesome guys, is fu...ing awesome, but this time Bioware is in Epic Fail for me. Posted Image

Well the game runs better, there is a lot of free content, enough to make up for the price difference, Cerberus network works fine the manual is on the game. You'll be saving threes. Yay

A) You simply do NOT need a manual, much less demand one. Freedom's progress and Lazarus Station already actually SHOW you all the game mechanics you need to know for the rest of the game.

B) The manual (if you need it for some unfathomable reason) is actually ON THE DISC. God forbid they try to save a few trees for something that isn't really needed to start with.

C) I don't know what you're talking about with Cerberus Network. When I got home with the game at noon-ish EDT CN worked fine.

It is you who are Epic Fail. In so many ways.

Ok guys, does anyone know what's included in the DLC bundle on the PSN. I want to get the armors, weapons and suits DLCs which I know they're paid DLCs, and there is an option to get the bundle, but the description doesn't say if it's all or some of them or which ones, does anyone know? I never got them on 360

Everything that's in the individual packs next to it on the listing except for the Terminus Armor.

Once you select the 7.99 bundle and hit "download" it breaks the bundle down to its parts and you download each part individually.

Cool... I rather get that than, and make one single download, still... It's cheaper thanks! (I just finished reading the whole post lol...)

YES!!! ^___^

You (Cerberus 1701) talking to save trees?
Yes good point, very good point,  but i presume you don't buy the Official Guide too,  right?
.
So i think that,  no manual = save money = down the price of the game!!!

or not? ^__^

Actually, no. I don't buy game manuals. Why waste the $20 when someone on gamefaqs will tell you everything the guide would within a week of the game's release?

Bring the price down? Why? The manual is only a few cents of the actual cost of the game.

It's the enviornmental impact overall of slicing down the trees and  creating the ink and the carbon footprint from all that that's being saved.

$60 buks is a pretty good deal given the hours of entertainment I get out of games (especially this one.) Especially when one considers that if I want to go to a movie matinee and have some popcorn and a soda I'm kissing off $20 for 90 minutes of movie.

What's the point of manuals nowadays? Gimme a printed version of the codex (or at least a digital one that I can print) and I am going to be happy.

Agreed!  Often the only time I read a manual was as a kid on the drive home with my new game, and as soon as I could actually play it I lost the bloody thing.

Frankly it's a giant waste of resources.

Damn if it didn't. I've never read the thing. Wow, you learn something new every day.

Welcome, PS3 owners!

I've got a UK copy of it on preorder as a late christmas present for my friend as she only owns a PS3 and has yet to be introduced to the awesomeness that is Mass Effect!

When I take it round to her house on friday, as she plays it i'll get to see just how much better it is than the demo. If i'm impressed, i'll probably buy myself a copy of the PS3 version. It can sit proudly on my shelf next to my 360 copy :P

Thank you BioWare for introducing the Mass Effect world to a whole new set of players. Not everyone can afford to multi-console :)

Has there been any announcement from BioWare about when this interactive comic for PC and Xbox 360 is coming?

all ive seen is listings on here and on gamesites.saying its been leaked that "geneis"-comic choice impacter is coming to 360/PC just the date hasnt been released yet.so honetly no one knows.it belongs to us as well.theres fans who havent played me1 yet.i dont have a copy of it any more.it would make sense to release it for us too and not just ps3(even though they need it more then us at the moment) i do hate the cerberus-human default settings for a new me2 shepard on 360/pc kind of boring

I have to admit I was curious about it so I check it out on my cousins PS3. The comic in no way takes the place of Mass Effect 1 even in the slightest and it only references major plot points from Mass Effect and not the little ones that made Mass Effect and by extension Mass Effect 2 so fun. They obviously did their best, but you definitely come in lacking the gravity of ME on this new release. Also I don't know what everybody is seeing but I completely missed the whole "running smoother" thing. It looks just the same.

BioWare and the Mass Effect team are very proud to announce that Mass Effect2 is now available for sale in North America. Already ME2 on the PS3 is getting huge reviews such as a 5/5 from the Toronto Sun, 5 Stars from The Guardian, 9.5/10 from IGN and an incredible 10/10 from Official Playstation Magazine.

Mass Effect 2 for PS3 is now available in North America at fine gaming stores near you. It is alsonow  available as a Playstation Network download if you prefer a digital copy. ME2 for PS3 will be on sale in Europe and the rest of the world January 21. :)

Sweet just another one to add to my que.:)

I disagree on both points, to varying degrees.

The comic is an adequate substitute for ME1 (note that I don't say "stellar" or "perfect.") I would have liked for BW to have been able to at least use the audio tracks from ME to impart some of the flavor and atmosphere in a hazy, barely lucid dream sequence before waking up again on Lazarus.

That, said, the comic does what it's supposed to do: catch you up on the basic story. I'm fine with that, because, to be quite honest ME1 has aged poorly. I simply don't have a ton of interest in slogging through all the mediocre gameplay to get to the cutscenes.

As for it running smoother, it does, up to a point. I've found the textures are better, there's more detail. The lighting is somewhat improved and the colors pop a bit more.

If I were to call the 360 version, version 1.0 graphically I'd call the PS3 v. 1.2 Noticible and pleasant to see, but nothing to really ooh and ahh over.
