Well, as much as I'm happy to hear about all these new PS3 players with a gorgeous Kaidan on their desk in every game, I'm just gonna sit here and flail quietly at the knowledge they all think his name is KaidEn (pro-tip: it isn't. His name is KaidAn), and that the devs apparently think the same (srsly, it's your freaking game *sobs*).

Kaidan isnt Carth and they dont look similiar at all but they are voiced by the same guy so im assuming thats what Jack was aiming at.

Kaidan Alenko from Mass Effect and Carth Onasi from Knights of the Old Republic are both voiced by Raphael Sbarge. Which is what the Bioware poster was jokingly referring to.

BioWare loves Kaidan and they want you to love him to.

You are not missing much, anyway. The pictures of Liara and Ashley are butt ugly in 360 version - wish they could replace those.

Maybe its not a bug, maybe its reminder of your past actions. 

It's not, people have sacrificed Ashley in the comic and her picture doesn't apear in frame. Something's not getting flagged properly in the save, similar to how Conrad Verner's status doesn't get flagged properly when you import a ME1 save on the PC or 360.

Or it's something as simple as a misnamed file. Pretty much everyone is just making jokes about it at this point. It doesn't appear to affect gameplay though. Granted I haven't done an exhaustive test, but no one else seems to want to verify other choices so I'm not going to worry about it more than I already have.

Whilst everyone is treating it as a joke, I do hope Bioware fixes it and when they do it doesn't affect people that have already got a Shepard playthrough going where they romanced any of the original LIs. Like you say, to me it sounds just like a misnamed file or a misdirection in the programming. So hopefully shouldn't be too hard to fix without causing more issues.

Unfortuntately not, which made seeing him on my midnight launch playthrough of ME2 very werid.

It was checked multiple times in development and I can recall bugs that were fixed on it; my best guess is that it rebroke just before certification and slipped through the cracks.
I've brought this up with the testers we currently have assigned for ME2 PS3 work so they're aware of the issue at the moment.

On the plus side Kaidan / Carth is a dream boat; at least it's not stuck with an Elcor picture.

He may be dreamy but this is creepy.

My brother started a male shep, did the comic Kaiden died and he made whoopi with Liara and now there is a creepy pic of Kaiden on the desk...I wonder if you romance someone will he turn the photo down...

I find it funny that a small bug is basically what a group of people on these forums have been fighting for since basically when the first game came out. Now all they need to do is get the PS3 version and they can have lovin with Kaiden all they want XD

When it prompted that Ash was concerned over Liara it gave an option to speak to one of the two of them. If you choose Ash, it says that you tell her you have your eye on somebody else. In the clip, it shows Kaidan, Liara, and Ash together. Then if Kaidan dies, it shows his pic in a frame in the comic on a desk. Almost seems like you can only romance Liara, or Kaidan, or nobody. I chose nobody on my first playthrough.

As a Carth *and* Kaidan fan, I find this hilarious. And while they are not identical, they are both voiced by the same actor, who does have a dreamy voice.



Also, maybe I just have a twisted sense of humor, but reading through the thread, I assumed the Bioware dude misspelled Kaidan's name on purpose...just to dig at all the fans that become instantly incensed when anyone from Bioware commits that gravest of all sins. If so, good for you, man.

Yep, got the glitch to with my Male Xenophile Shepard.

Can't say I'm really into Kaiden, sure I might go out for a few drinks or something, but as a friend.

Now if if was obsessed about his hair, and cheese, on the other hand....
