Am I oversimplifying and making broad stereotypical statements?
Yep
Isn't that just silly?
Yep
Than why state all this?
Because I think the whole world is silly, an uproar over digital frontal nudity or over the top blood spatter is stupid.

Seriously....did anyone look at that picture? its two half naked people and a dog, someone else needs to wonder what truly happened there.
Why? You've never had sex with an animal somewhere in the room?
I once had a cat that just seemed to know when my girlfriend and I were having some fun. If we kissed, he was there. And not just watching! He insisted that we pet him! He'd start rubbing up against our legs, pushing his head into our hands, etc. Crazy cat!
We had to start closing the door even when nobody else was home, or putting him outside for a while.

Why is the game 18+ if its not even REAL nudity in it? That is the question.
But then again the american people was in shock when janet jackson slipped her nipple on the super bowl thinggy. No offense but never understood the whole "Violence and guns is allright but nudity is wrong" thing you got going lol
A lot of people seem to think that the idea of "violence okay, nutidy bad" is an American thing. That doesn't make sense.
1. The majority of the world's nude content is produced by Americans, working for American companies, in America. The porno industry makes billions of dollars each year. We have mainstream movies with nudity, and televeision shows and commercials that come damn close.
2. Most Americans either didn't care about the Janet Jackson incident or, as I did, found it hilarious. I was watching the Super Bowl halftime show and I didn't even notice that it happened because it was so quick! The huge uproar with the FCC, MTV, and the networks broadcasting the game was a result of "idiots." I say idiots but I really mean "people who watch FOX News and think that it's a legitimate news source" and "religious fanatics" and "mothers with nothing better to do than try to get their 15 minutes of fame on television." The only reason that any of them even cared was because the Super Bowl was meant to be a form of entertainment for the whole family and there were children watching the program.
3. The "idiots" that I described above exist in every country on this planet. Don't believe me? Take a trip to another country and see for yourself. Do you honestly think that television in Germany is full of nude women? Do you really think that there aren't video game ratings boards in England, France, Russia, China, and Australia? Look around! The "violence okay, nutidy bad" idea exists everywhere. (Actually, in some countries it's "violence bad, nudity bad." I'm looking at you, China and Germany.)
4. I'm an American. The majority of posters on this forum are American. I don't agree with the "violence okay, nudity bad" idea. I'm willing to bet a good sum that almost nobody on this forum agrees with it. Why, then, would you believe that the majority of Americans do? I suspect that the opposite is true. More Americans oppose violence in televeision programs, movies, and video games than they do nudity. Certainly most people don't want their children exposed to either of the two, but that's precisely why we have the rating systems.
I'm quite tired of the idea that Americans are a bunch of prudes while the rest of the world is totally cool with public nudity. It's just not true!
1- pornography is STILL illegal even though people look the other way.
2- i cared, janet jackson is what? 60? i'm offended some over the hill woman wanted to get attention by intentiionally showing her plastic surgery infested nipples and breasts on tv.
it should have been jessica alba straddling keira knightly's face. that would have satisfied my sense of fairness and equality.
3- the basis for this comes in the various ratings for other countries vs. us- most coutnries rate violence harsher than nudity- the absurdity of the american rating system contributes to this.
4- i don't agree with it, and as you, i am from america AKA NYC. so when we include our colonies, then of course by sheer numbers we are including the bible belt and the rest of the land that people typically put as america.
- basically its the attitudes of NYC people need to look at for the countries' standards/
btw- did you know that time out london recently voted NYC the #1 city in the world ahead of them?
europeans know the situation- this guy you are responding to just doesn't.

Actually, it's not illegal at all.
Anyway, we should probably stop derailing this into an America vs. The World thread about boobs.

it is- it operates in a grey area that is based upon the standards of each individual community, you CAN be prosecuted for obsenity, but they tend to focus more on the safety of underage issues than anything else.
its a mish mash of crap between local and federal laws.
technically, legally all pornography can fall on the side of obsenity if they aren't carefull and taper it with some form of "artistic, eductional or literary" value- that hasn't changed. but no one really cares and its so accepted as commonplace-
like jaywalking- its illegal and you can get ticketed for it, but no one cares.

Well some of us, like me - react to the fact that others react way to seriously on such a trivial issue as nudity
Only people i can imagine are genuinely OBSESSED with nudity in a video game would be virgins.
I think its silly its not full nudity because:
1) Its natural
2) Its would be realistic (when it comes to romancing scenes)
3) Its artistic
4) The game is 18+ anyway, and the sexual age is 16. (or in the US 18 i think? Which is the games age limit anyway)
Thats my opinion about it.

You have to be 18 or over to buy the game in US, I don't see what the big deal of it is. There are movies out there that show more.
