Definitely both in separate playthroughs because I enjoyed playing both in the other games and because I want to experience the game with Bethany and with Carver. I will probably start with Warrior since it is the class I have played the least (played it on Awakening), plus I especially like Bethany so far. The one class I wasn't crazy about in the other games was Rogue so if I play it at all it will be on a third playthrough. I want to be a Chantry-hating Templar with Anders love interest (I love irony!) unless a relationship with Anders is impossible as a Templar.
Dragon Age 2 Mage or Warrior?

I was thinking of playing Rogue, but I like the sound of that.:D

Good question ! Is it possible to have a relationship as a templar female Hawke with Anders ?
Or as a bloodmage to have a romance with Merril ??

Rogue. I have more fun playing as a rogue and I've never finished DAO as a warrior or a mage, I just end up bored after a few hours. I'm trying to finish a human mage now but it's going slow.

Definitely rogue. I'm somewhat of a fashion snob, and that tends to take precedence far more than what abilities are available since there's always a warrior/rogue/mage in the party if I want to use a specific skill.
Hated anything but warrior in DA:O as being "me" until original armor mods could be made for the rogues/mages that weren't just the same skirt/robe in different colors.
Armor looks a lot better this time around for rogues though. Hard to say about mages. They sort of look like they're still stuck with their bathrobes, so I may hold off on a mage as my PC until someone builds something more practical and better looking for them. I don't think I completed a mage run through in Origins until a year had passed and some actual original non-robe clothes had finally been made by modders.

Mageeeeeeee. :3
I'm always a mage.
Why, you ask? because i like to have amazing elemental power at my fingertips, and can destroy anyone or anything who gets in my way!
Also, in origins, i was disappointed with the murder knife, mages should have been able to zap them, or sent a stone fist at their faces. D<

I love rogues most but they appealed to me with my dream weapon (I've been working on making a staff sword for awhile now)
So mage it is...

I played the demo as all classes. Mages were my favorite, then warriors, the rogues. Mages did a buttload of damage, and they were really fun to play as, doing both ranged AND melee attacks. The new spells rock! Plus, the robes later on in the demo look pretty sweet too. Warriors did a lot of damage to, but didn;t appeal to me as much as mages. It wasn't boring, just not as fun or exciting. Rogues were cool moving around, but took a lot of damage...almost died a lot. But they kill single enemies no problem. I'm sticking with mages!!

I'm torn between the two; I prefer the mage over the warrior, but I'd also rather have Bethany over Carver.

I played the demo as both. Both did a great amount of damage against single enemies and groups of enemies, but I thought the mage class was more fun, doing melee and ranged attacks. It was quicker to kill enemies and the ogre as a mage too anyway.

I always played as magical warrior like class in every game cause i like both magic and the pleasure to slice and dice my oponents while wearing armor. My main Warden is a warrior with Champion, Spirit warrior and the Reaver Specs. But my second best warden is an arcane warrior blood mage, spirit healer. The only thing that anoys me is that mages can no longer be arcane warriors... But the force mage sounds super cool...

Mage in my first playthrough, then DW Rogue, then Warrior - I've always preferred the Mage and Rogue class over Warrior since I played the demo.

going to play a mage first i think. then maybe a rogue.
the mage gets all the fun spells and stuff. and the rogue seems like alot of fun to bounce around the battlefield with super high mobility.
i didnt care much for the warrior actually, not saying its bad or anything, just less interesting to me than mage and rogue.
ive seen that archer rogues are super popular here too
