so i don't have internet where i live so am i SoL on the comic and possibly the other dlc that was supposed to be "included" since i can't access the cerberus network? i thought i'd only need the network for Zaed and the new armor.

Yeah they basically lied. The game case and what I've heard in the past lead me to believe the Digital Comic was included WITH the game, and here I find out all they give you is a redeem code and you have to download it extra. And it says the Cerberus Network only gets you weapons, armor, vehicle missions, and characters, NOT the comic.

PS3 games use Blu-Ray discs which are 25gb per layer. There should be more than enough room in the disc to include the comic. Not to mention its unfair to users with slower internet and cant access PSN because of it.

yeah, i was expecting a package like DAO ultimate edition, i cant use my redeem code too! although i think its just because im using my australian psn account...



that said, im still very happy i'm playing this game right now

The comic is in the game.  It starts right after the introductory part of the game and the Mass Effect 2 title splash screen.  I was able to download cerubus by the time I got home from work, so I don't know if it is there without downloading that first.

The question I have is do I need to pay for the weapon packs that were released yesterday or will they be free when the cerubus network is finally up?

NO ITS NOT IN THE DISK... Just booted up the game to play and the DEFAULT is just create a new game and the cut scene ASSUMES that you as Shepard in ME1 saved the galaxy but let the council DIE... I just got my copy today THINKING that the BONUS content so prominently displayed in the package is going to be IN the DISK like what they did with Dragon Age: Origins.  because I DONT have a connection for the NET for my PS3 (crappy/slow connection..not to mention logistics wise) and THUS no way to use the included cerberus network card ~ I was ok with this because I thot I only have to download Zaeed and Firewalker DLC and not having access to that is ok since I've already played that on my PC ME2 also (btw... the card only says that you can download Zaeed, Firewalker and a couple of other equipment and NOT Kasumi, Overlord, or Lair of the Shadow Broker!  I was AFTER the BONUS interactive comic and DLC of Kasumi, Overlord, and Lair  that I haven't played yet in my PC version of Mass Effect 2 and it seems that its not included in the DISK:huh: please tell me I'm wrong here?

You first need to download the Cerberus Network .
So first you will have a 20 minute install and then you will have a 700mb download (which is going at the moment really slowly).

The comic has to be downloaded via the Cerberus Network. Ingame it will play (when downloaded and installed properly) right after the opening before you get to choose your class and create your face.

So, im from Brazil and here we don't have acess to the PS Store.

I bought the game but i will not have acess to the exclusive content from this ps3 version? That's not fair, I did not play ME1 and i was counting with this "HQ" to know what is necessary to know, to play ME2.

If I knew it, i would not have bought the game. I thought, at least the HQ would come within the game.

R_Mckay, Kasumi, Overlord, and Lair are included on the disc. The Comic is not, even though it says it is on the back of the package.

I'm with the rest of you lot, with bad internet access, that got screwed out of the DLC that is not included on the disc. Guess they don't care about the minority that can't download things. Personally, even if I could DLC, I'd rather have it on the disc anyway in case the file gets corrupt.

You have to create a PSN of the version of the game. They sell american versions of the games in Brazil, so all you have to do is to create an American PSN and you can download it.

I downloaded Genesis from the cerebus network yesterday. I like it. Makes it better for you to choose choices in ME1. Like saving the council & citadel, letting the Queen Rachni free, choosing a love interest, saving Wrex and choosing to save either Kaiden or Ashley. It's a bit long (15 minutes) before you finish creating your character, but I beliebe it is worth it.
