@Rei I think it looks fine - definitely nothing I'd worry about.

Seriously, what my FemShep needs is not a more feminine gait. It's MUSCLES. Something that makes her arm holding that giant shotgun more believable. Not tiny matchstick as it is. She doesn't have to look or walk like She-Hulk, but currently as it is she'd be blown away on a windy day in San Francisco.

ME3 needs to have customizeable body just because of this.

I definitely agree she needs more muscle.  I can't stand how skinny she looks outside her armor.  Hell her body doesn't even look the same in all the outfits..

Something like the female qunari concept would be good.  Or something like a female body builder who hasn't taken it too far like Jamie Eason, or a sprinter (basically a body type that has a good balance between muscle and size)...

I'm liking the sprinters the most here I think

That's definitely closer to realism. I imagine my FemShep to look like a tennis player - a blend of a sprinter and a boxer if you will - who sprints often on the battlefield but also uses her upper body strength a lot shotgunning and meleeing. Height around 5'8" and weight around 130 lbs. An idealistic version would be Steffi Graf (although my FemShep is not German - she has a French mother and an English/Jewish dad):

Yeah and she would have a thicker right arm than left arm like any tennis player, because of the constant firing/reloading of that Claymore shotgun. She spends a lot of time working out her left arm but it helps only a little - she's just too left brain dominant.

Yeah I quite like that too.  Although 130 lbs at 5'8"?!  That's a little too close to underweight I think - I weigh around the same in one of my album pics, still fairly slim and I'm only 5'5"!  And I do strength training :P...  Anyway, that's just a minor detail since it's just a number!  If she has a physique close to any of the pics either of us have posted, I think that would be great

Heh, I was just surprised to be scrolling by randomly and suddenly think to myself "Woa.. is that my shep?" .. was a slightly surreal moment. :)

On a related note, Shep sits in a slightly similar fashion during the scene where Jack blows up the old Cerberus facility .. as seen here.. not quite the same posture though.  www.youtube.com/watch

Jack's sitting like.. well.. Jack I guess, in that scene too heh.

Well, I extrapolated those numbers from 'official' height & weight data of several female tennis players - I blame them for understating their weight/overstating their height. :pinched: I'm sure 5'5", 130 lbs is a good height/weight for an *honest* person. And IRL guys do tend to be a bit bulkier than gals. Not as much difference as the Hollywood stereotype, but still there's a bit of difference.

@AwesomeName

See, I am of the opposite. I found the sprinters, to be blunt, ugly. Of course, this is purely based upon preference but I do not find overly muscular men or women attractive in the least. The first pic you provided and the one posted by iOnlySignIn would be to my liking. Fit and toned, yet not coming across almost male due to too much of a good thing.

I think that shepard has more things to worry about. But on another note why does miranda wear damn high heels in combat would you want femshep to do that

To be fair, I wasn't talking about attractiveness (although I think those sprinters' bodies are!), just that it's more realistic - something I think should take priority if she's gonna try to out box a Yahg... :P

What a ridiculous ****ing complaint. FemShep isn't keeping her knees locked when she sits down. Hurry, someone call Mary Poppins for a lesson in feminine etiquette.

I bet she's also riding horses like men do, with spread-legs and not sideways. BURN THAT WITCH! :D

But seriously...some of the early posts claimed that even in ME1 both Shepards shared the same animations. Having recently played through ME1 I cannot but disagree. Though I don't have technical proof it simply seemed much more natural the way my FemShep walked and moved. She didn't look like a "girly-girl" doing her moves, it just looked more elegant, like females move.

I think ME2 has a general animation problem, but I cannot find any good reason why. For example: In ME1 we had an excellent running-stopping-turning-running animation. It looked so natural, she was running, then braking, stoping, turning, running again, all in one fluent animation. Never saw that quality animation in any other game before, at least not during live gameplay, just in cutscenes.

In ME2 this animation is GONE and replaced with...NOTHING.  Very strange!
