I can't imagine this will warrant much more than an email in ME3, if that.

Kept it.

A You dont know who will really handle it... so hadnling over to the alliance has a high chance of ending up being "misplaced"

B. I need some dirt on Cerberus after dumping them.

C. If Anderson, Ashley and many thing swe seen or heard is any proof, nobody outside the Normandy can be trusted.

I sent it to Anderson. Shepard needs to convince the real powers in the galaxy that he/she is not working for everyones enemy Cerberus but rather just accepting their help for the moment. This is a small gesture to show that you are not in anyones leash.

..........Anderson doesn't trust you enough to realize your not on a leash I doubt anyone else will.

If those who you thought, and I reitirate "thought" as in past, were closest to you do not realize your doing it because you have to. Then those who aren't close to you wont even understand no matter the gesture.

I sent it to the Alliance and sent it to Cerberus.... I don' think it matters really.....

But now I always send it to the Alliance. The note from Hackett keeps me grounded that I was once a Spectre/Alliance Marine and I need to remember that....

Funny thing in the 'send it to Cerberus' email: Cerberus Command says that the data that the Blue Suns thought they had was actually misleading and false in regards to Cerberus actions. Email basically sums up as 'We do enough bad things as it is, we don't need false ones added to the list.'

Won't deny that could easily be a selfish lie, but won't dismiss it out of hand either.

I kept it. The Alliance and Cerberus will probably end up with the data anyway. Either way, once I decrypt it, I can still pass it along. However, I want to know what is in there first--before giving it to either side.

It may be true, but for that very reason it is important to keep trying to convince them and despite how the story may make them look I am sure your allies from ME1 are not stupid. Anderson, Alliance and Council have good reasons to doubt Sheps true loyalties after returning from the grave in a suspicious and Cerberus sponsored way. Even so they have said that they will give Shep the chance to prove his/her words with action, they even let him/her keep the spectre status, even if it's a rather empty title in ME2. Shepard needs all the allies and trust she/he can get.

And if I may pick the choice of what just seems like leading to more fun in ME3 I would rather play as a relatively free spectre of the mighty Council rather than just a agent of small Failberus, easily manipulated by TIMmy. But I admit that keeping the data yourself could be a good strategy too for the same purpose.

U and I have been at odds since months ago my friend :P and while I like you, we disagree on many things.

Personally:
A: the council prooved long ago they are idiots... at least this council nto sure about the ones before.

B. This council has proven to rely too much on specters and not hold them to a higher standard

C. This council has had many times to put their trust in Shep and they haven't... all they do is "do what w/e it takes" but never support me... screw it

Anderson:
A: He was one of 3 to have hand picked me, and does not believe me enough to say cerberus is not the enemy... at least not this time

B. Lies to me about one of my best friends from 2 years ago... aka Ash

C. Has even the audacity and stupidity to admit even had he known about me earlier he still would not have told me about Ash being on horizon.

And when I played the Shadow Broker.... sweet god even worse. can't believe Admiral hackett trusts me more than Anderson... maybe he just fears me or is careful either way. He was proposed with the idea of kidnapping Shepperd to "interrogate" him. And while that is perfectly reasonable he trusts me enough to deny any attempts to do so.

Basically.
Council
Anderson
Udina
Ashley/kaiden

are too blind with their fear of cerberus to actually trusts me. If they are too damn blind then they are just dead weight.

I gave it to Cerberus

Yep. My Paragon Shep did that and even kept the Collector base. I figure he should align himself with allies for the greater good.

I've cleaned up enough of cerberuses experiments to know that letting them keep doing what they're doing is a bad Idea

Alliance.

Besides being a Paragade, my 'canon' Shep is a gung ho career Marine who isn't about to turn traitor. He's loyal to the Alliance and is working with Cerberus only out of necessity. Hopefully those ties are cut in ME3 so my Shep can get back to blasting Cerberus operatives in the face with a shotgun. Posted Image

Keep it for myself. I don't trust Cerberus and I don't trust the Alliance. This is coming from an individual who both let the council die and kept the collector base.
