7) Mordin (because you need someone smart to explain things to you, jarhead marine...)

I play mostly infiltrators and engineers, so I tend to pick at least one tank and an appropriate biotic/tech expert, or 2 tanks if I'm facing organic hand-to-hand opponents like Husks/Creepers. I almost never took Mordin out on missions, so I'd be happy if he just joined the crew and acted as science officer/medical doctor with Dr Chakwas. You could get some interesting dialog going between these two.
