43 The median age for gamers is probably much older than most people think.

I definitely agree with this.  While gaming is a little more mainstream and less stereotyped as nerd domain these days, real gaming started in the late 70s/early 80s, imo.  I mean, how many of us here remember playing the original Zelda, Final Fantasy, etc, when they were first released?

I'm 33.  I pretty much grew up on consoles and PCs and have been gaming my whole life.

15. Oh this game brings back memories from NWN.

Am I the youngest one here? Sure more younger people love this game like I do.

(I still can't get over the nostalgia attack of making the view similair to Baldur's Gate. I'm getting sidetracked here.)

I'm 16, haha. Most people our ages are like 'omg, games that don't have guns? WTF you nerd!' (or at least, that was the reaction I heard from many people in response to the commercials for this game.)

Never played NWN, but I heard it was good. Only other bioware game I've played is Jade Empire. Image IPB So this is pretty exciting for me.

40 and change. Seems like we are in good company. When they where talking about a spiritual successor to BG I was thinking "Yea like modern day Forgotten Realms"!

The thing that scares me though, is this the last of its kind? Game-stop only carries ad handful of PC games anymore and it took a lot for these guys to dig up the $$ to bring this game out. With the mega cooperations like EA running the show now will anyone ever get the go ahead to make another whopper like DAO? Will the rpg PC market be enough lure for the millions that go into something like this?

I am glad to see a lot of us mid-lifer/no-lifers still gaming away but I think we are far from the target audience anymore.

I'm 17, totally agree with both of you :P

NWN was amazing, I still play Darkness over Daggerford today! A few of my friends were too excited about MW2 (really? another CoD?) to even poke fun at me for playing DA:O, but the missus hasn't stopped badgering me... A bit rich coming from a WoW player

I am considerably past 40 and I am playing the game. With all the partial nudity in it I wonder how parents are reacting to having their kids play it. And we all know there are parents who will let their kids play it just to keep them from whining.

Personally, I think that  there is a very small minority of the American public with a stupid religious agenda who make so much more noise than their numbers warrant, and harmless human body nakedness is among that group's alway ridiculous worries.  The older you get, short of your death bed, the less attention you pay to such foolishness.

20 here, I do like that games are becoming more and more mainstream as time goes on and it's quite fun to see what a wide age group plays a game.

I actually played Jade Empire through once more last month waiting for DA to come out, glad I did, an amazing game. Heh, actually come to think of it almost all my favorite RPGs are BioWare made. ^_^
