Who is the Secret Companion?

Who/what do you think the secret companion will be? They're usually a prominent character who can join you late game.
Possible 'secret companions:'
Orsino - Hey, he's important enough that his robes are on the Live store and it looks like there will be Templar/Mage conflict. Maybe if you help the mages gain freedom from the Templars, he joins you.
Cassandra - We know it's a framed narrative, but who is to say that Verric is the only narrator? After Verric tells what he knew of Hawke, Cassandra relates how she met the Champion of Kirkwall and what exactly she's searching for. Within the narrative, we can have her join Hawke's party or not.

I think she's so powerful and enigmatic that the writer will want to keep her as an NPC.VampireCommando wrote...

Good point. Having the Arishok would be... interesting.GodWood wrote...
It's usually the 'bad guy' so with my twisted logic I'm thinking it's going to be the Arishok.

I doubt Cassandra since i got the impression that she has never directly met the champion (by directly i mean something real, not an introduction at a party), but thats all my interpretation.
Orsino seems likely, he is in Cassandra's list of suspects (potentially) and it seems like most of the others are potential companions.
However the Bioware trend seems to make your antagonist into an ally (Deaths Hand and Loghain) and we dont really know who a main antagonist is yet. Maybe in the upcoming weeks we shall learn more.

That would be pretty awesome, even if she was a companion for a short time.

I'd much rather the story catch up to the present instead of just switching narrators. As far as secret companions go, I think Cassandra is a good guess.Maria Caliban wrote...

Yes, they didn't talk about him beforehand. They disguised his recruitment and loyalty missions in the achievements.ghostmessiah202 wrote...
Was Legion really a secret character? he seemed easy enough to find and get for me, but thats off topic.
It was just a poorly kept secret.
The only time we've seen her is when she interacts with Verric, and it's obvious she's not in the best of moods. If she knew the Champion, I see no reason why she'd tell him.I doubt Cassandra since i got the impression that she has never directly met the champion (by directly i mean something real, not an introduction at a party), but thats all my interpretation.
I think he's the most likely at this point.Orsino seems likely, he is in Cassandra's list of suspects (potentially) and it seems like most of the others are potential companions.

Based on what we know, Orsino/Cassandra seem the most likely candidates. Maybe you'll end up with one of the two based on who you side with (Chantry/Mages).
Meredith?

Why would she be interrogating him if she knew the champion though?Maria Caliban wrote...

Gaider said in an interview we won't get a qunari companion. He misleads, but he doesn't outright lie. So I'd say the Arishok is out, as awesome as that would have been.

if the arishok were somehow to be disgraced and made to abandon the Qun, would he still be considered qunari?

The mercs we saw in DAO were disgraced but still considered Qunari Mercs. (You get the disgraced from the retcon that Qunari without horns are either special (sten) or disgrace/abandoned the Qun (Mercs))

Possible. It might be an Alistar/Loghain thing where you get one or the other.
She doesn't feel like a companion to me, however.
