The secret companions are always the least interesting ones to me because they tend to feel awkward within the narrative.
I thought Loghain was very well done. And I loved Death's Hand, especially when he meets his brother at the end.
I'll grant they dont have as many convo's as others, but they aren't there for as long. But i personally like em.

Why would she be interrogating him if she knew the champion though?
1. She only knew Hawke for a short while. Verric has 10 years of history wherein she might have only known the Champion for a few months.
2. Mary has said that the group of six people in the hexigon aren't Hawke's companions (we known you don't even have to meet Isabela) but a group of 'suspects.' What Cassandra wants seems to be tied up with Hawke, but also larger than the search for one person.

The only time we've seen her is when she interacts with Verric, and it's obvious she's not in the best of moods. If she knew the Champion, I see no reason why she'd tell him.I doubt Cassandra since i got the impression that she has never directly met the champion (by directly i mean something real, not an introduction at a party), but thats all my interpretation.
Because she is looking for Hawke. It would make sense if the last 1/4 of the game is in the present tense that Cassandra and Varric are in your party.

What do you need proof for? I'm a proud companion groper. Also various important NPCs get squeezed when I'm around.Beerfish wrote...
Proof! That you feel up all of your companions! Groper!
I'm a very tactile person.

Meredith?
Possible. It might be an Alistar/Loghain thing where you get one or the other.
She doesn't feel like a companion to me, however.
Isn't Meredith already confirmed as a companion?

Secret companion - not sure. I do like the idea of Cassandra but if I'm right, it does seem unlikely. Soooo, dunno really. Erm. I'll toss a vote in for Meredith too.

I'm not sure it matters.ghostmessiah202 wrote...
The mercs we saw in DAO were disgraced but still considered Qunari Mercs. (You get the disgraced from the retcon that Qunari without horns are either special (sten) or disgrace/abandoned the Qun (Mercs))
As long as David could say, "The Arishok isn't a qunari anymore when he joins you so you didn't get a qunari companion" he wouldn't have told us a lie.

I hope they explain why Cassandra needs to know Hawkes life story in order to find him. On one hand it sounds as though she's trying to bring hawke in for something, but on the other hand they make it sound like she needs Hawke's help. so i'm getting mixed signals regarding her motivations, but that is probably intentional and i'm blabbering.

And yes I also think that Cassandra is the secret companion, you probably meet her when she get's his/her location out of Varric.

I know I'd be dissapointed if the end of DA2 would be like:
Varric: "...and that's all I know"
Cassandra: "Thank you for telling me"

Why would the dwarf even bother lying in the first place if she did actually travel with the champion, and by extension him, in the first place then..?
I mean, that alone kinda rules Cassandra out for me. >_<

I wouldn't be surprised if we play Hawke in da3, with Cassandra as a companion, saving the world from the brink of war + morrigan and flemeth.
