I just had all my saves corrupted. I had completed Legacy and Mark of the Assassin too. Where the corruption occurred was while losing in the battle against the Arishok and when it prompted to load your saved game all the saves would not load. No crash or freeze occurred this happened during normal game play.

I can load the save game normally, but when I'm playing the recruiting mission of the game Tali Legs starting to show and then lock in that it appears those little flying robots before I play this part but usually can not get past this point. When I had played in normal mode crashes the game but not this way, now that I'm playing on Insane mode'm having this problem

Hey guys my save was corrupted last night...i was around 12 hours into the game. im aware that a patch was released for this issue last year. 1) how do i know if the version i have is the patched one? I did download an update for it when i installed.

2) how can i find the patch if my current version is not the patched version?

Also...i cannot back up my save file due to the copyright protection...but i am able to store it online...if i store it online and my game gets corrupted again will i be able to restore my back up from online or will that also be corrupted??

I really want to finish the game and i will play though again.

Mine froze up right before the last battle, 60 hours into the game, last night. When I rebooted the system, my save files were gone. I had about 15 save files and I can't access any of them. Really pissed off.

Is the game safe to play? A bit worried if the save is corrupted after prolong gameplay. Just bought a new copy btw

I just played entirely through Mass Effect 2 and 3 on PS3 (back-to-back) for the first time and for the most part I was good to go.  ME2 had some stuttering problems during some of the DLC quests but otherwise I didn't have any issues such as corrupted saves or game crashes.

I ended up with 42 hours on my game (all side quests/DLC completed) and aside from frame rate issues during the DLCs (like Overlord and Lair of the Shadow Broker) I can't think of much else to complain about.  I don't know how wide spread this save data corruption is but (knock on wood) I didn't experience any of it.

Still it never hurts to back up for saves anyway, just to be safe.

Thanks for the reassurance, I'm nearly finishing my 1st playthrough, so far so good .

Just bought Mass Effect 2, downloaded the updates, after I am told to recruit the team members (the first few missions) I headed to "recruit the krogan", only to find that the game displays "corrupt save data" during the loading screen for the planet. I deleted my save and attempted twice to recruit him in different ways, first collecting other team mates before trying, when this didnt work I went straight to him first, but alas that didn't work either, the same data corrupt screen appeared.

I can load my save and it takes me back to my ship flying around the planet, so I know it's not my save file. My PS3 is a slim 320 GB ... will this have any effect on my game? As my friend had no trouble with his Mass Effect on his 250 GB PS3.

Please help, I want to play this game but cannot go any further.
