Well obviously because the 6 gold was it's change from when it went out to buy a mage hat, ring, and dog biscut.

As for a serious response, I would just imagine that it didn't make the cut like so many other useful things that were omitted from the game.

haha! That spider be pimpin other spiders. It gotta be paid. It got the gold from its spiders that be working the corner of Caridin's Cross and Dead Trenches in Deep Roads. The hat and ring are obvious pimp gear. Don't know about the dog biscuit though.
