This.  Also, some people who loved DA:O are just upset that it won't be more of the same plus fancier graphics and small fixes to gameplay.  Just the normal knee-jerk reaction to change.  Don't worry, I can almost guarantee that many of those who are protesting will quite willingly eat their words once they've actually played the game, gotten used to the changes and found new things they like.

It's BioWare, they will deliver.

unless, of course, theres a breaking headline tommorow staing "This just in, Activision aquires Bioware from EA for 500 million"

I think I'd join the mass riots.

Or maybe they just don't like what they're seeing.

That still doesn't excuse uncivil behavior, just because it's the internet that doesn't mean you have to leave your brain at the door

I loved Dragon Age Origins, but wasn't a HUGE fan of the combat. I thought some aspects of it could've been a bit more exciting

Image IPBImage IPBLuckily, so did the developers.

The bottom line is that some people will like the changes and some people won't.  I do think that, especially initially, a lot of the hate and fear was misplaced and overdone, but I can see how some of the changes rub people the wrong way even now.  That aside, Origins had a lot of haters too, as does every game.  I for one am looking forward to DA2.  To each his own.

Doomsayer is so much more fun to say.. doooomsayer.. doooooooomsayer.. dooo, alright i'll stop, but yeah fanboys can be equally tough to swallow, although this time it has been the doomsayers game, i mean even with the limited info they didn't exactly take the measured approach, and as a dev you put out something that you have created and spent time on, and hopefully approved of, so it doesn't feel good to hear this sucks and bioware has ruined my life may they burn in hell, you can be constructive and specific in your critisism.

I was a bit skeptical about the game at first. But then I realised that most of the changes.. were actually for the better.

The combat for example is more quicker and more fluent. In Dragon Age: Origins the first thing I'd always do was to get Wynne and level up the spells until i got Haste. To make everyone attack quicker. Another thing in Origins was that I never used 2h greatswords just because they felt so extremely slow, like it took 10 seconds for each swing, especially for the special attacks. Same thing with Shields.

Well I can agree that people should be civil. Of course, they won't. Not in today's internets anyway.

Image IPBImage IPBDon't worry.  It's only forty-seven days, four hours, and twenty minutes until March eighth.  Not that I'm counting or anything.
Image IPBImage IPBEdit:  And the best part is, my Spring Break is on the week DA2 comes out, tuesdays are my day off at work, and I've got two copies of DA2 set for release day shipping.   Tee-hee!

I know I'm not a rabid fanboy for two reasons.

Image IPBImage IPBWell, the good news is that we're approaching the time period where a lot of info usually starts to pour forth in the form of previews, and some are even video (my lips to Bioware's ears).  So I'm hoping some more info will make the wait more bearable.

I don't know why anyone would doubt Bioware anymore. I couldn't be more excited for March 8th.

Dragon Age 2 is going to kick ****** and that is fantastic.

Also, ME2 and Skyrim this year.

Why is there so much hate for it on the internet?

I thought that's what the internet was made for. So people could **** about games and movies, while sharing porn

Wooo!! I know, its quite an exciting year for RPG lovers!!! Image IPB

People love to moan! Thats the only reason i can think of for the negative comments. They wont be able to whine after release ('cos its going to be so awesome) so they have tp do it now!

oh shiiii

I'm still trying to finish Witcher 1. It seems like a good game but the voice acting grates me for some reason.

It is easier to join to complain than to praise, and people tend to be more vocal in their complaining whether it is justified or not.

Law of the Internet.

This game is going to suck.

This game is going to be awesome.

Wow, you're right. It takes a whole 5 characters less to complain about a game then it takes to praise. Amazing work there, can't believe I've never realized that before.

(In case you haven't gotten it yet, I'm making fun of your notion that it's easier to complain then to praise. It's incredibly easy to mindlessly support something just as it's incredibly wasy to mindlessly bash something).

Most of the conversations and comments on the Internet have nothing to do with discussion and information, but to prove one's superiority and to express emotions that are supressed in real life.
