Mormons are some of the nicest people you can ever meet. Just talk to them and take their book. They often have fun stories to tell.

They could have been Methodists for all i care. I hate being ambushed by missionaries of any religion period, ESPECIALLY when im trying to get back to my apt from a long day of school and it's cold out.

I'm gonna say that if there was a demo it would stop the legions of uninformed doomsayers from constantly ****ing. Everybody who's played the convention demos loved it and based on all the previews it's amazing, if the doomsayers actually played a bit of it they'd shut up. I know it's never going to happen but just gotta say these things.

Maybe they'll release a demo for the doomsayers someday?

@YourFriend, yo dude, thanks for helping us see the light. I feel liberated!

Not sure what parts of the ME boards you hang out on, but the ones I've lurked in have plenty of people moaning about this or that aspect of ME2 and how they probably won't get what they want in ME3. It's the nature of the beast.

Man, these forums are hilarious. I am all for debate and seeing people's different views...but man, forums are just so degrading these days.

I haven't even played the game. Why even assume anything until you have it? Why even complain about it unless you are really going to try to encourage the change? (flaming does not count)

It's safer for some people to complain. Then you either get to be a prophet ("Ha ha! You fools should have listened to me!") or pleasantly surprised ("So I had my doubts but WOW...").

Or maybe they just plain don't like it, no sir. And this being the Internet, that means they get to stand on the corner and tell you about it. A lot. Because that's cooler than kissing the Man's butt. ;)

It is our fundamental right as freeloading Internets serfers to criticize, bully and troll whomever, whenever, wherever and however we'd like! You know this to be true, do not deny it.

Bow and kiss the feet of the almighty Bitmob and ye shall be forgiven!

Well you have to assume when you make the decision to purchase.

Sexual repression and terribly conservative views on gaming.

You could always rent, or hopefully a demo, wait till it gets cheaper...I usually spend hours reading reviews before buying. But Bioware hasn't failed me yet, soo?

Complaining is fine, so long as its constructive. Where it breaks down is when people feel they shouldn't need to be constructive-- they should get to express themselves however they damn well please and

a) everyone should listen to them

B) the developers should listen to them, at the peril of their bottom line

c) they shouldn't have to listen to anyone else

There is a problem with the very idea of communication therein, but I don't think anyone necessarily equates the Internet as being a vehicle for communication. Or that people even want to communicate so much as talk.

Doesn't take away from the fact you still have to assume it's worth a purchase, no way of knowing without actually putting down the cash unless there is a demo of course.

And I've learned over the years not to put a whole lot of faith in a big business no matter how good their track record is. If you want to feel free, not my style though.

Always found it odd how so many people on gaming forums are so eager to criticize others sex lives.

Are you kidding?  His post was boring, if Ann Coulter had written it, I would have at least gotten a shock laugh or two.

Image IPBImage IPBI suppose.  I'm trying to think of someone who's known for long-winded hate speeches and she came to mind.  Rush Limbaugh, maybe?  (Note:  I'm not trying to make a political statement here).

Because it's quick and easy to criticize something that's a primal instinct of any human creature, best kind of pride to burst. Also lying and bluffing works as well to get the needed troll effect.
Or just because it's just funny.

No, my point was simply I just can't process the point of all the complaining with certain ignorant people--but I'm not going to bash them back or anything, it's just weird. Getting a game is always a risk, and regardless of the company, money, how much info is thrown at you, you -really- won't know if you like it or not until you try it.

*shrug* babbling, ignore me.

Does this also apply to people who post complaints about people complaining?  Just wondering.  :innocent:

Anyway, wasn't the OP talking about YouTube etc. and not BSN?  Not that there isn't a good deal of complaining here.

Honestly, when i compare BSN to youtube and the Warcraft forums, BSN is so completely utterly tame that it's like a tiny kitten that occationally will bite you softly.

Yeah, but the margin of error drops considerably after properly informing yourself.

From the info we have so far about DA II, it seems to me that it's going to be a different type of RPG from Origins. I'm not entirely against this, but also not a big supporter of its new direction. I'm totally neutral about the sequel to be honest. I hope I wasn't, especially because DA:O had revived the old school type of pure role-playing and became my favourite next-gen RPG. Actually, I'm more eager to play sequels for other upcoming RPG titles which I enjoyed less than DA:O, because they seem to return to the classic RPG formula and they are more time under development. But I'll keep an eye for pc DA II reviews in case they'll prove wrong my concerns.

If Bioware was planning to release a demo, would they have announced it by now?

Definitely.  Although there is something about DA players that is a cut above the usual internetz.  The commenters on my videos are almost always nice and friendly.

It's kind of ironic, but I think people here complain a lot because they love the game and franchise.  I liked ME2, but I don't much care about ME, so I'm not motivated to follow it and kvetch about every little thing.
