...I am disappoint.  I mean seriously.  Doesn't this contradict Garrus' own statements?  Sure, the waists are impressive, but there's no fringe to speak of.

...definitely not what I was expecting.

EDIT:  Just to quell some of the arguments, this is the ONLY female turian we've seen thus far.  As it's the only one, it'd be ridiculous to assume that all female turians look the same as this one.  Until we see a few more, we should NOT assume anything about their appearances.

Isn't dark horse doing the art for these comics? If they are, I wouldn't worry about what they look like there. It is almost a guarantee that Bioware will do better.

They're... interesting looking. I think it's pretty cool they don't look overly feminine by our standards.

There's irony for you.

"Comics"? We have dismissed that claim.

I was hoping for more elaborate head fringes, but it looks like they don't have any at all.

It makes sense there would be no head fringe, that's how you can tell the difference. Did you expect they would have boobs?

I'm really glad they've finally shown us female turians- loving the costume design - although I have to admit, I kinda wished they looked more feminine - HOWEVER, if they want them to look like that, that's up to them, and I'll fully support it :)

Personally I liked the feminine qualities of these:

female turian 1

female turian 2

Although, I do like that their head fringes are less prominent :)

Thank God Bioware took the nonattractive route and didn't make another model where we can go," Oooooo that's hawt romance. romance!" These ARE aliens people.

Plus the comic could always just be poorly drawn, accounting for the lack of feminine qualities but seriously, I'm not dissapointed in the least. It's kind of "meh" at this point anyway. This is probably why Bioware never showed them before, or any female Salarians and pretty sure female Krogans for that matter.

People will want to romance them.

People do want to romance Garrus, after all.

I am really glad they don't look like that. Too much typical "femininity" by Human standards. They also look very similiar to male Turians.

I don't think Bioware would just "give" Dark Horse the Mass Effect license and say "Go wild. Surprise us!" I'm sure the artists have some say so in the designs.

Other than that, I like how the females look. Noticeable difference but not too extreme.

I am happy their design is not for the sole purpose of giving the average male a boner.
It's good to see some alien female aliens.

I like them not being standard female figures, but I can't really say I like the design. I don't think fringeless is the way to go when distinguishing them. Maybe shortened fringes or something, but not such a pronounced lack of one. I mean, it winds up looking like a bald skull, and looks human for it.

Fair points I say!  Although I thought "female turian 1" with less head fringe would've been a good balance.  But yeah, I agree it's completely fair if they don't want them to look girly!

I'm glad to see that turians have different standards of beauty than humans.

Remember people these are meant to be aliens not humans. Just as a female beetle doesn't look feminine by human standards so shouldn't a female alien!
