I was hoping for more elaborate head fringes, but it looks like they don't have any at all.
Now I understand why male turians usually compliment the female's fringes, because they look so terrible they have to cheer them up!

All of the people saying they love it because it isn't attractive deserve a taste of the same when it comes to Tali. I hope she looks like a Predator for you guys.
Did you want them to look more humanoid or something?
And as one of those people who 'love it because it isn't attractive' I do hope Tali has quite an alien face and is not simply a human with a silly wig and some paint.
Tali should be "attractive," but beauty is subjective. And realistically, the species has spent so long in suits their skin probably isn't in great condition.

1. It's a comic. People complain about how 'masculine' she looks in this, but Omar Francia has proven in the past that his way of drawing turians is not the best representation of their appearance in the games. I think it highly likely that the overall features on female turians are aesthetically softer then it appears from this.
2. The fringe doesn't have to be large or long to be attractive to turian males, if I'm making my assumption on turian rules of attraction as correct. Desirable features could include the smoothness of the plates, the form and placement, amongst other things.
3. Humans are not the universal standard of beauty. It could be that a turian finding a human attractive in comparable to the furry fetish.

How did you know that without doing any research?
Judging from the comic the ones with the longer head fringe. Now point out male in Turains.
What's your point?
My point is that artwork is just lazy, uninspiring and unbelievable.
Also who did artwork for female Turian? Dark Horse.
What they did also? Mass Effect Genesis.
So how can we trust them that will be in ME3 or possibly in ME2 DLC if they fail to make Wrex, Garrus and Batarians right?

Regarding TIM's name being Jack:
Not a fan of it myself.
We've already got a character named Jack and I think it would've been better if they simply went with Tim or as I always supected Armistan Banes.

They don't have to look ugly to be alien.
Not asking for attractive alien either, but this is just horrible artwork.

Wait, his name is Jack?!
Why have 2 characters in same plot with same name?!

The only issue people seem to have is the lack of distinct head fringe.
Is your problem the head fringe thing?
If not why do you find it unbelievable and how would've you had them look?

And there are three named Jacob. And three named David. As it turns out, some names are common. And I hardly think people will be confusing the Jacks.
And Tim? No thanks. Far too precious and puntastic. As far as Banes: he's dead. He has always been dead, from the moment we first heard of him. And he has never been a good fit for TIM. He was just some random doctor, who was killed years and years after TIM is known to have been running Cerberus.

Jack and Jack are both major characters.
Yes names are common but it's not that hard to come up with a different name for two different major characters.
It's not that big of deal for me though, just another minor annoyance.

And yet, they have different names in the one game in which both have a role, TIM doesn't use his given name anymore and hasn't for years if not decades, and Subject Zero isn't in Evolution, largely due to not existing yet. Not a problem.

Lol. Seriously though, I doubt they're mammals, birds, reptiles, etc.. - those are all types of Earth animals. E.g. if they were birds, then that would mean that they share a common ancestor with our birds. They'll probably come under a totally different classification that is completely distinct from our entire animal kingdom (and, well, entire "life" kingdom - can't think of a better word). Their DNA is fundamentally different as well.
Then again, they may try and reveal, as a shocking revelation, that all life in the galaxy originates from the same place, or something crazy like that.

How did Garrus and female shep blow off steam if we not a little alike?
I suppose that's a good point actually... I mean we've seen that male turians have it in their capacity to find female quarians, female humans, and asari attractive - all of whom are feminine by human standards... But meh, those turians may just have a broad sense of sexuality if that makes sense? Sort of like bi-sexuality, but more like, erm, exo-sexuality? I dunno, hopefully you guys know what I'm saying...

In fiction, never give two different characters same name.
It get's confusing.
Here it is really stupid.
