Female Turians in ME: Evolution

You can't expect a female bird alien to have ta-tas. At that point, BioWare would lose all remaining self respect. Its hard enough to believe that Quarians and Asari also have (what appear to be) mammary glands in the same location as humans.
It could always be worse, they could have made them even more alien and drove home the "Turians are super militaristic Romans" point by making the females a complete caricature where they are second class and below/inferior to the males.

That is plating, not proper boobs. There is more to breast then curves.Homey C-Dawg wrote...

It makes sense there would be no head fringe, that's how you can tell the difference. Did you expect they would have boobs?
It looks to me like they kinda have boobs.

This. I thought they would have shorter fringes than males, not lack them entirely.skyferret wrote...
I like them not being standard female figures, but I can't really say I like the design. I don't think fringeless is the way to go when distinguishing them. Maybe shortened fringes or something, but not such a pronounced lack of one.

Remember people these are meant to be aliens not humans. Just as a female beetle doesn't look feminine by human standards so shouldn't a female alien!
Yes, this!

Thank God Bioware took the nonattractive route and didn't make another model where we can go," Oooooo that's hawt romance. romance!" These ARE aliens people. Plus the comic could always just be poorly drawn.
People will want to romance them.
People do want to romance Garrus, after all.
Oh I understand completely, I mean face it no one wants to play a game about aliens where all the aliens are unbearable to look at, so it makes sense to try and make them attractive. Garrus, Thane, asari's are basically blue human women-with distinctly alien heads mind you- as far as creativity in the model themselves. All the aliens look interesting, I'm not saying anything against that in any sense. It's just it is nice imo that Bioware seems to not be going out of their way just to provide boners to dudes like myself. It wouldn't break my realism mind you, I just think it's nice. The female aliens who aren't the strippers of the universe aren't strippers for a reason it seems.
But then again, I see why people still wouldn't like the design. The lack of feminine qualities is probably just because of the comic style, or they quickly drew her for lack of really caring which would be strange for an official comic but there we go. lol.

This. I figured after the dialogue with Garrus and frat-party turian, female turians would have had some fringe to speak of. I'd have figured a shorter fringe than males, but not a nonexistent one. Ugh. I'm really hoping that this is just more DH comic fail and is not representative of what BW would design for them in ME3.
Considering how horrible the comics have been, across the board, so far as art and writing is concerned...I am hopeful. Barely, but hopeful.

I'm just discounting the artwork. DH can barely get ME aliens looking decent in the first place. Also, this directly contradicts statements in-game.

flat boobs are still boobs. shaved hair is still hair. removal of the scalp is a bit extreme, which is basically the extent a turian would have to go. its not like its just hair that grows contantly and is cut alot to be grown back, its a hard carapace that is part of their head.GodWood wrote...

It's BioWare, don't expect too much consistency (see ME1 -> ME2). j/k

Some species of birds, the females are more decorated than the males, why didn't they just do that?

Of course they have some say so, but just look at Liara in the PS3 comic. She is drastically different than the Liara in both of Bioware's games, especially ME2 (the one Mac Walters headed).VirgoT wrote...

Isn't dark horse doing the art for these comics? If they are, I wouldn't worry about what they look like there. It is almost a guarantee that Bioware will do better.
I don't think Bioware would just "give" Dark Horse the Mass Effect license and say "Go wild. Surprise us!" I'm sure the artists have some say so in the designs.
Other than that, I like how the females look. Noticeable difference but not too extreme.
I'm just saying that Bioware does better time and time again. If Dark Horse makes a character look like a horny teenager then Bioware makes them look like a competent, ruthless bad*ss.
I'm just saying, don't base your opinions on Dark Horse anything cuz Bioware is ten times better at this sort of thing (or more).

^No, we were looking for something that at least matched up with the GAME. The only thing these pictures fit are comments regarding the waist/hips. The lack of fringe is just ridiculous. Again, several folks have done fanart of female turians that don't inspire fantasy boners. We want some consistency.
So faulty fan assumption is fact now? Did Garrus say the females fringe's were bigger? No. Waists? No. A small fringe could be a very attractive quality for female turians much like small feet were in japanese culture.
Maybe in the future y'all will wait to see the facts before geeking out and then getting all "OMG!!!" The fact that you're pissy about reality not matching up to the imaginary fantasy land you've got in your head is deeply troubling.
Seek help.
