So faulty fan assumption is fact now? Did Garrus say the females fringe's were bigger? No. Waists? No. A small fringe could be a very attractive quality for female turians much like small feet were in japanese culture.

Maybe in the future y'all will wait to see the facts before geeking out and then getting all "OMG!!!" The fact that you're pissy about reality not matching up to the imaginary fantasy land you've got in your head is deeply troubling.

Seek help.

I would be happy if they made it a turian first as it has already been established in the game.

I think when Garrus is talking about fringes, he is talking about those around the neck as opposed to on top of the head. Looking again at the pictures, the females have much bigger stuff around/behind their necks than males do, so perhaps that is the elusive fringe everyone is looking for?

Uh, did I say that the majority of female birds were more attractive than males? No. Some species in the tropics are-- look it up yourself. I was just stating a preference.

Dunno.  They aren't really bigger so much as, since that's all there is, it's more prominent to us.  Males have where the cheekbone/plate extends back past the mandible/flap.  Then she has a...horn? Guess that's the fringe? (lol..."impressive.") But it's equivalent to a male's, save for having a slight wave/curl.  In the 2nd image it looks like it could be an extension of the eyebrow plate (but I chalk that up to DH's inconsistency).

I guess all I can say is: So much for evolving plates and fringe to protect themselves from Palaven's heightened radiation. Doesn't look like she even has plates along the back of her neck.

Still hoping this is just a woefully deformed/heavily injured (by, say, fire and rabid varren) turian and not representative of what female turians look like across the board.  Even amongst the panels the art is inconsistent (common with DH's ME comics).  I'm at the point where I just throw my hands in the air and hope BW produces something better for the game or that there's an explanation for her appearance further along the story.  Or something.  Dunno.

It makes sense there would be no head fringe, that's how you can tell the difference. Did you expect they would have boobs?

It looks to me like they kinda have boobs. :D

if it has boobs, it can be romanced.

ugh... i say she was captured by bad guys and had her fringe ripped off, and was beaten about the face with, uh, an aircar-wielding-yahg.

that is srsly, hands down, the ugliest alien i have EVER seen. sexual dimorphism / monomorphism aside, AESTHETICS is STILL IMPORTANT in game design. i think DH believes an understanding of aesthetics is unimportant in their comics, or they just hire people who don't give a damn =(

That is plating, not proper boobs. There is more to breast then curves.

Superficial boobs are acceptable.

A male Turian would compliment a female Turian's fringe when trying to romance them.
What happened to the fringe on females? Its gone. art or continuity fail.

Or that female turian wasn't feminine by Turian standards.

This... sucks.

They look too similar to males, and why don't they have head fringes? The turian guy from the bachelor party said that asari best look like blue turians because of the head fringes.

I am fully willing to make an exception for female turians.

Anyway it's nice that we finaly got to see a fem turian, even if it's just a cheap comic spinoff. No doubt there will be more variations in their looks if they will be in the actual game.

That human guy are actualy suprised that she isn't the usual twilek or asari stereotype alien female. So now he does some childish trashtalk about her non human looks. I sure hope this is not the hero of the comic.

i dont read the comics, but if they'd just finished fighting some sort of bloody battle, i'd be talking trash too even if she was the hottest thing on the planet.

If bioware go with this design, I won't mind, but it's really not what I would of liked to see. I imagined the females with shorter and a more solid fringe that just extends over the back of the head. One other thing is I imagined the "fins"(for lack of a better word) on the mouth would be a lot shorter. I didn't think it would be such a change from what garrus said fringe wise. But this is dh we are talking about so many bioware will do better

I'm actually thrilled they didn't just resort to having another alien species that has the exact same kind of sexual dimorphism that humans have. HUGELY HAPPY ABOUT IT.
