I've played the game and beat it 2 times already, and killed Loghain twice. I was wondering what happens if you let Loghain live, and Alistair is hardened (which he is in this playthrough) and marries Anora? What will happen and where will Alistair be during the Final Battle?
Should Loghain Live or Die?

If you spare Loghain, Alistair will never join you in the final battle but you'll get a good ending if you make him marry anora. Sparing Loghain lets you better understand his motives and IMO a great companion. I almost always spare Loghain

But will Alistair give a final rally speech right before the battle?

My canon ending is Loghain Redeemer, but I'm gonna execute him on a future playthrough just to see what happens.

Plus, if I let Loghain live, will Alistair be the one to address me when I kill the archdemon and live at the coronation.

No, Anora will be the one to talk to you after the archdemon is dead.

If his personality is hardened, Alistair will marry Anora, and Loghain can live. Like the Doctor says, everybody lives!

Try sparing Loghain. He has some good dialogs with the Warden and a great banter with Zevran. Alistair will be pissed, but he'll sort of get over it if Loghain does the US. Plus, you haven't lived until you've had Alistair b*tch you out at Eamon's estate at least once. *shudder* (Take off Alistair's gear before you enter the Landsmeet, or you'll lose it when he leaves you -- it won't hurt him since you'll be dueling Loghain and Alistair won't take part in the final battle.)
Oh, and to answer your thread question: "Should Loghain live or die," many people here like the Redeemer path, so their answer would be "Yes, Loghain should live... and then die."

To be fair, in The Calling, the Grey Wardens did try to help create a mass genocide that would have turned every living person into a ghoul. Not to mention that Ferelden and Orlais don't exactly have a healthy relationship, given how Orlesians invaded Ferelden, then raped and murdered people (like Loghain's mother right in front of him when he was a boy). Sparing him is no different than sparing Zevran or Sten, who also made mistakes.

So you will kill someone just to have another person fight beside you?

If I do spare Loghain, what will happen to Alistair after I spare Loghain and what will happen to him after and before the Final Battle, and in Awakening?

Alistair stays king and shows up in Awakening.
Loghain either dies, or becomes a recruiter in Orlais of all places.

Seeing Loghain in Awakening is way better than seeing Alistair there. It's like a sweet surprise.

Heres what I'm going to do: I will spare Loghain at the Landsmeet and he will join the Grey Wardens. Alistair (who is hardened) will marry Anora even though I spared Loghain. My question is if I do this, what will happen to Alistair at the end of the game (in the epilogue), and what will happen to him at the beginning of Awakening?

Alistair is VERY pissed but somewhat over it by the end of origins.
At the epilouge he will be there and he goes on to be a good king.
He shows up for a few minutes in Awakening at the start to say hi though.

Alistair will have an awkward conversation with you at the coronation. In the epilogue he and Anora will rule brilliantly. I think if Loghain lives (via DR) he shows up in Awakening and Alistair doesn't.

I almost always kill Loghain. Alistair and Loghain are both Sword and Board defenders, and Loghain frankly sucks at it by the time you get him as compared with Alistair. The people at Bioware have no clue how to put together decent NPCs......

all my wardens have had too much loyalty to alistair to spare him. i did spare him once just to see the dialouge but i didn't make a save or finish the game with it - i just went back and had him killed again because alistair is a must party member

So if I do what I said I would do, will Alistair AND Loghain appear in Awakening? Will I also make up with Alistair and he WILL rule brilliantly with Anora?

A hardened Alistair and Anora have exactly the same epilogue as they would if Loghain was killed, so long as you don't become Chancellor. As long as you don't say you want to continue serving the Crown, it doesn't end up bad in the epilogue. Talking to Loghain gives you a lot more insight into his character and the choices he made - as well as his POV about Eamon and a reference to why Alistair wasn't acknowledged by his father Maric.

Yes, they both will appear in Awakening. And yes, as long as you don't become Chancellor, they will rule brilliantly.
