I've been trying to provide regular updates, but no visual stuff to show this time. Instead, here's a quest and one way to solve it.

Two guilds are near conflict in their negotiations over a contract. You've been asked to tilt negotiations in favor of one of them.

Pickpocket both stationery and a love letter to use as a writing sample from the leader of the targeted guild. Take them back to a safehouse or your house and use the stationery and writing sample to forge a letter implicating the guild leader. If you have forger's paper, you can greatly increase your chance of success on the skillcheck. Deliver your forged letter to another member of the target guild, causing the guild to remove the leader from his position. The replacement guild leader will not be as good at negotiations, so the other guild will be able to take advantage.

Have enough "success" with prostitutes and others, and you will earn an "achievement" and your journal will mention it. Should you choose to visit them, you can also use that fact in a quest. Both sexes are represented and are available, so no feeling left out there (though npcs may not be overjoyed at your preferences). It's also possible to catch something if you're not careful.

Can't wait, man - just so you know, I'm totally on board if you need beta testers.

Another few weeks and all planned areas should be done (never know when I'll need to add one after the fact). Much writing still to be done, as most quests have just a single line of player responses at this point. Also plenty of scripting type things to fill out the "middle" of many quests.

Oustanding interiors, kamal. The level of detail is just unbelievable. I can't begin to imagine how much time was spent on these. But the results speak for themselves.

Harumph!

It was my signature for a while, so here it is.

Nhor Deepforger's bakery, The Stone Hearth, home of his famous Deepforged Bread. That's Nhor's deepforging oven in the background.

Wow. I wonder if that bread is as dangerous, as Discworld's dwarven bread...

Nice use of placables to give different floor and wall textures.

Dwarven bread - the only bread you can battle with. It never goes off, either. In 100 years' time, it'll be just as unedible as when it was first baked.

That's some really, really big bread. Can't help but wonder if the baker is... ah... compensating for something...

Baker's dont make s**t all money, all food services are micro-businesses at best.

Nhor may not be fabulously wealthy, but I'm betting plenty of other bakers would pay handsomly for his secret recipes. I seem to remember a similar quest in NWN1 though (so it's hardly original).

Nhor is a friend of the pc, he's your local baker. You wouldn't cross him, because he'd cut you off from his bread, it's just that good. That banner is signed by Sa'Sani herself.

I've been testing things to get some stuff straightened out before continuing to add stuff, so I don't have to do nonstop testing once everything is in place.

I just like this screenshot.

Sorry for the lack of posts, I managed to mangle my campaign folder and didn't catch it until it got copied to my offsite backup, which meant I had to revert to an old archive version. This meant having to recreate a number of things. Still not done, but I do have the key script up and running again. Hopefully another few weeks and I'll get my scripts back to where they were. In the meantime I have some screenshots. Look closely in the third one and you can see some of Storyteller01's wonderful placard prefabs.

Really nice Kamal_. Where is that bookcase from in the top picture?

I hate having to redo stuff I've done already, you have my sympathies.

The appearance is CityMDrawers. I forget what name it goes by in the toolset. I'm not using haks though, so it's in there somewhere. I found it in a prefab pack (from "myk") that included an erf, the erf labels it drawers.

What fantastic interiors! It really takes a lot of work to make interiors different, especially in a big city. Well done. Can't wait to get my rogue on.
