First of all I applaud Bioware for bringing Mass Effect to us PS3 users.  I congratulate you guys for bringing such a somewhat smooth release albeit some minor  major things that could  use fixing.

As a note I am playing the Playstation Network digital copy.
The Bugs I discovered are as follows:

:sick:Updated 1/24/11
In tuchanka doing krogan's loyalty mission, can't go forward because of this undying and immortal varren.

Not even the Collector gun could kill it.

I'm tired so i'll keep this brief.. This is getting ridiculous and I feel like I'm writing QA logs as a tester more than I enjoying the game!

Just finished the mission where you get the Krogan... One of the things i've noticed in that mission is that Garrus and Mordin's voice would change pitches, sheppards as well during mission and the problem was really prevalent during the Archangel mission.  They would start sounding like Krogans or Higher pitched..

Did Bethesda work on this port?

Previous 1/20/11:

I've been playing since yesterday and I have discovered that during combat the animation becomes freakishly fast. Everyone's animation is twice as fast and I don't think it's  normal that .  Among this it makes me feel like the framerate during battles is sped up, its almost as if it's skipping frames.

There are also numerous texture problems where at some points anti-aliasing will turn off and whole sections of the map becomes pixelated.  This reminds me of a problem that Mass Effect 1 had on the PC where the textures would fall behind.  Which makes no sense whatsoever because I am playing the digital copy installed on the hard drive and as to why it has loading problems leaves me stumped.

Day 2 Thoughts:
I am starting to feel slight regret purchasing the game on PS3, what was said to be the improveed version winds up feeling like a shoddy port..  As if Bioware just wanted to test out the new engine and released it quickly without prior or enough testing.. This is something I would expect from Bethesda and not Bioware (KotoR 2 vs KotoR 1).  I do hope that is not the case and these problems will be remedied soon.

In the mess hall the elevator terminal is accessible through the wall behind it.  I know it's minor but it's something that could affect and break what could be a cohesive bubble experience.

Also in the first mission with your team on the first colony investigation (where you meet Tali for the first time) some enemies wind up getting thrown in odd places preventing the team to kill it.  It's required to kill all enemies before the door opens but since the enemy is off sight I have had to restart the game.  I also have experienced this bug in the PC version.

It has been noted in many threads regarding the Kaiden Bug.  I chose Male Sheppard, Liara as lover and Kaiden appears on the frame.

Finally there are moments within Sheppard's quarters where the music jitters and skips.  I'm not sure what's going on but this is the digital copy and there should be no reason for music skipping.

I know the attention is now on Mass Effect 3 for the developers, but for most people this would be their first time playing Mass Effect 2.  I want them to have a stellar experience as I have with the PC version the first time around.
But please If you could heed the threads posted by other players here and fix some of the bugs mentioned it would be greatly appreciated.
This is my first time in the boards and I have been a long time Bioware customer since Jade Empire (my favorite).
Once again thank you for releasing Mass Effect 2 on Playstation 3 and I will be buying Mass Effect 3 on PC and Playstation 3 when it comes out.

Thank You.

My bugs till now on Italian Version on BD.

- Kaidan bug... as all have :( where is my Liara photo? ;)

- Teleporting people: During dialogs, people teleports away from the screen and then they come back again. example, during the first dialog with illusive man, at the end of the scene, the illusive man sits on the chair, then it disappear and you see the illusive man going to sit on the chair. This was in the pc version and in the 360 version too... and made the intire story a joke (those thing destroy the atmosphere). The game is full of such disappearing scenes... i hoped they fixed it with the PS3 version... but it's exactly the same as 360 and PC.

- A lot of not sincronized audio in very different scenes. (not during combat, but always during non playable scenes). example, during first combat in Freedom Progress when you land on the planet... the audio of the ship starts only when the ship already landed. Then, the entire scene where the big combat drone kills the Quarian squad... the audio were compleately unsyncronized.

ciao

I got the immortal varren bug too. I restarted the mission and it worked after that.

Aside from that? The game froze twice during about 40 hrs of play. Audio out of sync far too often. Firewalker DLC had ridiculous clipping and collision issues non stop. That DLC is horrible anyway so I just gave up on it. Aside from those things, nothing too serious. Of everything, the audio bothers me the most. It's jarring and ruins the experience.

As far as the audio problems go, All I get are pitch changes, there will be moments where characters sound like Salarians or Krogans. Unfortunately it happens so sporadically that I have not been able to catch it on film, I have tried. It happens mostly during firefights and the only cause I can think of is memory problems.
