WOW!...Its been a while since i have been on here. NOW! Moving on to the topics main event.....A while back when i first got Mass Effect 1, I got on the BioWare forums (when there was no Mass Effect 2) and found a topic (who knows where it went) that a BioWare employee and developer announced that Commander Shepard of the SSV Normandy[/b] SR-1 (back then it the FIRST version of the Normandy) was going to die in the third game (yes i know...it's hard to believe). And thus ending the Mass Effect series in a rather.....depressing conclusion. Tho the BioWare employee said this....I have not found this posted thread again and i am wondering....did BioWare vaporize this thread post and fire the employeefor spoiling the ending of the series so eary? Because about 1-2 months after the thread topic was posted and then dissappeared...i heard on the grape vine that a "unnamed" BioWare employee was dismissed from the Mass Effect series devolpment team due to a "leak of importent information". NOW...before freaking out....the information about the "unnamed" BioWare employee was dismissed from the Mass Effect series devolpment team was just something i heard that had been going around. But for the topic that was posted by a forum user (and not a employee) and was answered by that employee mentioned above DID infact exist. But like i said before....it has since dissappeared and seems to have gone missing. IF, infact someone can find this post again that would be nice. But if BioWare did infact vaporize this thread post....then something went down at BioWare HQ. My whole point to this thread is this: Is the information about Commander Shepard dying true?.....And can it be confirmed? The reason why I named this thread "Mass Effect 1=3: Sheperd Dies....Maybe?" Because the topic that the employee posted on was during Mass Effect 1 and before 2, but the information related to Mass Effect 3.

So....guessing that with no conformation from the community, that not even BioWare will say a thing as well. I wish someone could confirm this information that i have posted about. I am thinking that there will only be one ending. And it's where Commander Shepard does indeed die. I mean if he does not die then BioWare will have to just make another game. So in theory Commander Shepard will most likely not make it (AKA he will die). Even though i would rather him not die....most of the time when a company wants to end a game. They will have to have the main character die or something like that. Just look at a good example like.....the Megaman X series. One of the main characters dies.....also known as "Zero". He is one of the two main characters that the player can play as. But in the last game....he does not make it. I hope that if BioWare has Commander Shepard die....then i want him to go out with a BIG BANG. Like i said...there's a good chance that Commander Shepard will die. But as i also said, i would rather him not.

I don't have any confirmation for you, but honestly I will say that if the game comes out and I find out that Shepard dies no matter what you do, I probably won't be able to bear to play it. Sad? Yes. But true.

Some Shepards should be put out of they're misery and laid to rest. Others should live happily ever after.(Which may seem kinda lame but I like happy endings.)

I really hope they don't pull of another "I sacrifice myself for the greater good" crap like everyone else seems to be doing these days =P I really want a happy-ever-after-til-something-new-and-more-dangerous-comes-along kinda ending for my shepard =)

I imagine they will learn from Dragon Age and see that multiple endings are the way to go.



I'd very much like it if it's a mix between Dragon Age's and Mass Effect 2's in that you can choose to sacrifice yourself or survive, or that you can die/live based upon non-dialogue choices you make.



Imagine choosing to be selfish and getting others killed only to die anyway. Or thinking you would die to save everyone but still managing to pull through.



I shall be quite disappointed if the ending is always the same.

I'd like the option to sacrifice Shep. I'm planning on having my canon Shepard survive the thing, but if the death is really epic a la DA:O, I might reconsider.

Or if Garrus dies.  Then her chances of getting offed go through the roof
