Fellow Neverwinter Night fans,

I've bought NWN 2 Platinum today and I'm kind of clueless where to start. The posts and topics about servers usually date from a few months back.  Furthermore there's no information on where they're located. This might not seem an issue if it wasn't for the fact that my server browser refuses to show pings on every server.

Started out playing Neverwinter Nights way, way back. Don't even know what year it was, but shorty after the release. I was quite a youngster back then and enjoyed PvP in Arena servers the most. Spend alot of time with my taunting Fighter in Atomic Chicken. Expansions came, new builds developed, new battles commenced but it stayed the same and I grew older, grew tired of the same ol' story. So I moved on to several Action servers, including Zombieland and later my most favourite server of NWN1, Rottgroup.

Rottgroup had it all for my taste. Mild roleplaying, enough area's packed with various monsters and lots of loot. The server kepth the gameplay true to the core, not too many added races, spells, crafting or what so ever. The module was fairly small in size, only one town. The bright side was that there was always someone to spot, have a chat with, group up and head out to have some fun. It was a quick delivery of fun, that kepth you addicted by the dark themed area's you had to overcome, only possible with a well skilled, good equipped party. The bosses each area had to offer and the loot they dropped. Action, lots of it. That's what I'm looking for.

So what server would you recommend me? Give me a clue, a hint, a brief description of the server, how many players are playing on regular basis. And regarding the ping issue I'm from The Netherlands, so I would prefer a European server.

There are a good number listed there and many of them have links to websites that will tell you more. I cannot say where most of the servers are located, however. Mine (Sea of Dragons - see link in signature) is located in Illinois. I'm not sure if it's the type you look for as it's heavy RP, but if it piques your interest, go ahead and check us out.



I personally don't know too many servers, but of those I do know:



Sea of Dragons - Heavy RP server.

BG:TSCC - RP server.

DEX2 - PvP/Action server.

ALFA - Heavy RP/permadeath server.
